They MIGHT do it as a courtesy to try and get your business in service, but if they know you are a DIYer or are too far then why would they really care unless they are obligated, and since you drove it off the lot with the chip, they wouldnt be obligated to fix it.

Not ragging you but you should have walked around the car and checked it out before driving off the lot. When i bought my 09 sale person had me do it
for my protection as much as for the dealership. |
