370Z comes with full synthetic?

So I went to the dealership for my first oil change(at 1250) and I was planning to put factory oil until I hit my next oil change at 3000. However, the service manager told me that the 370Z doesn't come with break-in oil but comes with fully tested synthetic oil out of the factory "like the 350's"

I've never owned a 350 so I just walked out of there taking his words but now I'm somewhat skeptical... is he bs'ing me?

^^^ what the........I got a G37 and it's not full synthetic when i got it and i heard it's bad to use that when the car is new....use it later on in the years......

I smell some BS...........lol..........or did i get screwed from my dealership......lol

350's did not come with synthetic! He's wrong!

molamann 02-09-2009 08:10 PM

So it comes with regular break-in factory oil?

nogoodname 02-09-2009 08:14 PM

^^ i'm guessing just regular oil.........

some of these engines will get knocking noises and will require enos..enoes....whatever it's called oil

Smells like typical stealership BS. They always try to 'sound' smart by saying things even if they are wrong.

That's not just funny, but absolutely true. I've heard the craziest shi- come out of dealer's mouths when they think you don't know any better.

Dealerships :shakes head:

When I bought my prelude the manual said honda put special break in stuff in the oil. However my 350z mentioned nothing about adding any special stuff to the oil.

molamann 02-09-2009 09:15 PM

Sigh, there is a bigger problem if this is true.

I originally went to the dealership because I had trouble with my transmission but the service manager told me there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. My transmission(7AT) feels really jerky everytime it shifts from 1st to 2nd or down from 2nd to 1st.

Should I take my car to another Nissan dealership service dept or will they give me crappy treatment since I didn't purchase my car from them?

Gang,

My 03 350 came with standard oil when I picked it up. I and I mean I changed it to synthetic at 500 miles on the clock.

ssqpolo 02-09-2009 09:28 PM

my 06 350 came with standard oil...i later changed it to sythetic. my 370 came with standard oil...and in 500 more miles (3000), i will put synthetic

nogoodname 02-09-2009 09:46 PM
