Default somebody help please!!

my manual 370z is giving me some problems. I have not been taking care of it like i shouldve. I did some stupid stuff and now the car is getting even more clunky than before. And when i go more than 2-3mph in reverse the car makes a horrible whinning noise. Does anyone know what or why and if it is serious or it will go away. I would ask my dad whos a mechanic who would easily know the problem but i would rather go to him as a last resort.

Dr dre

if would help if you can share with us what consider as "stupid stuff"? I understand you have issues in reverse; relatively speaking, your forward issues might be bigger.

Again share what you did so ppl can help. Your car should still be under warranty. Why not just take to it to the dealer? Did you do something to void your warranty?

You mentioned about your dad. Be careful about disclosing your age around here. Some members may ........ you about your actions. Good luck.

Don't sweat the age thing. I still have a few things I wouldn't tell my old man because he'll beat my butt, and I'm 44 now. He still doesn't know what happened to the trans in his chevy pickup back in 1982. Every guy has a some stupid stuff in the closet.

I am more concerned about him shying away from our beloved site 'if' we started flaming him similar to the kid who 'politely' asked if he could transport 4 people in his Z.

I am not Dr. Joyce Brothers, but sometimes threads turn out-of-control.

That was one of the best threads I've ever seen on a forum

This is interesting, in for results!

Anyway, yeah dude give us a little more info of what you've done to the car. But yes, you can always go to the dealer, unless you're afraid there is something on the car that could void your warranty. And in that case, you should prolly get some advice on this forum beforehand.

To answer your question, your gear synchros are probably damaged from what you're describing.
