Nissan 370Z Trunkspace = Full of WIN!

Well, I have been meaning to make a thread about the trunk space of the 370Z. It's huge! (I know you want to say, "That's what she said" just like Michael Scott ;) ) But seriously, Nissan did a fantastic job in my honest opinion. Big difference from the 350Z model. I have stuffed my trunk multiple times without any issues. It seems to eat up whatever you throw in there. Went to grocery shopping today and here's how my trunk looks:

If I recall correctly, Insideline made a similar post about 370Z trunk space. They were very happy.

Cheerios are no longer considered a balanced meal after a full week of eating them breakfast, lunch and dinner. This discovery led me to the grocery store in our 2009 Nissan 370Z last weekend.

I was skeptical that the rear cargo area was deep enough to hold my bountiful feast. But there was more room than I expected. See for yourself. Even loaded with my grocery purchase, there is still at least 9 Cheerios boxes and 2 gallons of milk worth of space remaining. I'm impressed.

ChrisSlicks 04-20-2010 10:06 AM

I cram my trunk full on a weekly basis going to the wholesale clubs. The last time I was there I spent $300 and bought a ton of stuff, including the mega pack of paper towels, 40 pound bag of dog food, full case of beer and bags and bags of groceries. You do have to get a little creative how you place things when maxing out the capacity, and don't forget the 2 little parcel shelfs behind the seats.

Supergoji 04-21-2010 09:40 AM

Mize 04-21-2010 09:49 AM

Not so great on the Roadster unfortunately. The Miata's trunk is larger :(

tranceformer 04-21-2010 10:25 AM

I don't have one. :(

Maybe I'll stick with the petite ones to be on a safe side.

Supergoji 04-21-2010 12:00 PM

dont forget to stuff them under the carpet.

Roy 04-21-2010 01:00 PM

I fit 280 lbs of stuff in mine when I moved 450 miles a few weeks ago... there wasn't room to breathe, but I did it! Couldn't believe it...

dlmartin81 04-21-2010 02:54 PM

I use my trunk as a 3rd car seat....haha...j/k.

What a funny thread. I find it amusing to see what people are filling their trunks with.

winnre 12-14-2013 03:41 PM

Junk in your trunk

Here I am with a brand new 370Z and the trunk is empty -- for now. Time to add stuff to it. I carry snow chains in my other cars but this baby will stay home when it snows. I have one of those tire inflators that hook to your 12v power in the trunk now and that's it (salvaged from my wrecked Porsche). I'm curious as to what folks carry in the small space available in a Z. I know we have to be more seective than with other vehicles.

kenchan 12-14-2013 03:57 PM

spare steering lock with facom ratchet, 10mm socket, breaker bar with 17, 19, 21mm deep sockets, disposable gloves, towels, QD, small bottle of rubbing alcohol. first aid kit, rocket launcher, all in the spare compartment within the donut.

there is nothing on the top of the trunk floor since i dont carry anything.

well, less one item.

YzGyz 12-14-2013 04:57 PM

12'' type r sub. groceries when i go to the store.
