I wouldn't want to see more power added. It's great in stock form. To me if you want that extra power, TT that thing. That also sparates you from the rest. I wouldn't want everyone to have a equally powerful car. Also it keeps the price of the car down.

Wish they would use DI. Every other manufactures are using DI and even in there own line up other than the Z.

I don't see it happening that fast. Nissan usual drops new motors in the Infiniti line before we see them in "regular" Nissans...for example, we saw the 3.7 in the G37 coupe before it made it to the Z. The 2011 Infiniti M still uses the 330-hp version of the 3.7 V6 (no DI or any other power bumps), so I'd be surprised to see any significant changes for the 2011 Z in the power department.

And you can forget ever seeing a V8 in the Z. That puts the car into a different segment altogether.

I ask do to I really like to plan ahead and want to be ahead on the next one. This is the model I really plan to go all out. Not so much on this model. Can be plenty happy in stock form this time around. But actully already started to save (plan to pay cash for everything). And my wife knows beyond a doubt we will not touch those funds (lol)?

I also hope they stay with the V6? Just a discussion. I couldn't see them going bigger.

Don't be surprised if the current Z is the last one before some sort of electric version, or nothing at all. Nissan is not a large company by automotive standards, if they don't start selling more Zs, expect the product to be dropped from the lineup.

If nissan decides to use the DI on the Z's, how much of a HP gain would it get? Any ideas?

I expect Nissan to move to DI across its line. It would make sense that the Z gets it along with all the other products using variants of this V6. Figure about 15% improvement in fuel mileage and maybe a 10% power increase. It would be a way for Nissan to keep the Z fresh until the critical decision whether or not to have a future Z or let the line die (circa 2016?)
