Papo- Last year of the S2000 was 2009, I didn't see the coupe part.
Lemer- I don't assume anything because we all know where that goes ;)

Part of the article:

"Buying a great handling sporty car in this price range affords you one wonderful feature—rear wheel drive. It is a proven fact that driving pleasure increases when your vehicles push you (rear drive) instead of pull you (front drive). At this price point, however, most all of your choices are two door sports coupes. While this is by no means a bad thing if you want the handling benefits of all wheel drive in a sports sedan you have to usually have to budget a little extra for a BMW 3-series, Mercedes C-Class or Cadillac CTS—all of which are fine choices."

BTW, there are no 350Z or S2000 on that article. Not saying that they are good handling cars, but I'm refering to the article. ;)

i didnt know there were other SPORTS CARS in this price range.... 4 seaters are coupes in my books (for family oriented grocery getter convenience). :D 'honey i cant afford a real sports car + dd, but i can afford a coupe that has 4 seats... can i get that?'

real sports cars are 2 seaters.

kenchan 04-05-2010 11:03 AM

no, we want to ensure the public understands that sports cars are 2 seaters.

you got 4 seats, that is not a sports car, it is a sport coupe for family oriented grocery getting fun. :D

wishihadnav 04-05-2010 03:51 PM

waitup...dont GTR's seat 4...haha.

Zeto 04-05-2010 03:58 PM

Exactly, it's a GT car.

the back seats in any of the 2 door Z competitors are totally useless. i dont even understand why they are a selling point. i mean, i do understand why they are a selling point, but they are so small and cramped that no one would ever want to sit in them.

wishihadnav 04-05-2010 04:04 PM

i agree..the back seats in my old rx-8 were useless as well..

wishihadnav 04-05-2010 04:06 PM

for this price range id seriously also consider an evo and sti as well...both seat four with 4 doors..hah!

Lemers 04-05-2010 04:23 PM

I believe mustang claims their setup is a 2+2. Now in my world that equals 4, but in the car world I believe that means that the back seats are not ment for adults.

Those back seats on a RX-8 for example is for insurance purposes.

That will give the owner a lower insurance premium. ;)

i believe companies less worried about insurance and more worried about price point and marketing. 4 seats usable or not appeal to a greater number of buyer than 2 seats.
