I plan on taking it easy for 500 miles....then driving the like it was stolen. I am at about 250 right now.

The motoman break-in raises some interesting questions. It would be interesting to hear input from a nissan engineer, or any automotive engineer for that matter. It seems like it makes a lot of sense, but like somebody said, you're breaking in more than just the engine.

do what the manual says. get an oil change on the first 1000 miles. have light "right" foot. i'm at about 1517 miles into it and it's fine. i drive a lot, so i'm going to take my time with the car. around 2,000 miles into it, i'm going to drive like a swat team is on my ***.
