How to disable top-speed limiter?

I took my new car on the track and kept getting left 'stood still' when I hit 155mph.

Does anybody know the magic incantation (button/key sequence) to disable the above. I'm assuming it must be possible, or it's a bit of an oversight on such as wonderful car.
Sick to death of watching the back end of a 911..!
(I have mega-speed rated racing-spec. tyres on order).

Better still, is there a full list anywhere of known parameters the user can tweak stuff with?

I have the one that seems to re-arm the SRS after routine maintenance (fitting of parking sensors) to start the thread off:

- Sit in drivers seat with key.
- Without foot on brake, press start button twice quickly to turn on ignition, all lights on dashboard illuminate.
- Wait until all lights go out, and BEFORE SRS light starts blinking (gota be quick), then press start button again one more time QUICKLY.
- Repeat above 3 steps 3 times. voilą! Re-armed SRS.

(There might be more to it, but it worked fine for my new 2010 GT 370z)

Failing the usual 'front door' config, does anybody use products such as this with an luck; seems to be just the ticket for a lot of things:

Hypertech Programmer... :wtf2:

Cobb would be the easiest.

I'm afraid you're still going to be seeing the back-end of the 911, even with the restriction removed you're not going to go much faster than 165 without one hell of a downhill straightaway. Well Fusz can.

The Flux Capacitor always helps!

Contact Smoky Nagata. Our tune on Project Mothra will eliminate all top speed and rev limiters. :driving:

Engine removal for significant weight reduction can help too.

Gosh. With the 7spd Auto, 165 would be a bit of a dissapointment (from memory) think I hit 125mph redline in 4th, seem to smash into ~150 in 5th with relativly little effort, I've still got a whole couple of gears to go.

Thanks for the programmer tips. L8a.

Is the unlimited top speed only 165... oh what a disappointment...

I hit about 155 on the freeway at about 2 in the morning about 2 weeks into me owning the car. Never again. 150 is more than enough lol

You could probably get a little more under ideal conditions, but not much. Full bolt ons would add another 5-10 potentially. Just remember it requires exponentially more HP to produce speed in the high end, air drag is a bitch.

Please. A disappointment? That's a bit melodramatic.

Do you live next to the Autobahn? If not, who cares what the top speed is. You won't even hit 165mph on a track.

FuszNissan 03-16-2010 09:08 PM

What track are you going to that has a straight away long enough to hit 155??
