How long do you plan on owning your 370z?

As the subject says, how long do you plan on owning the 370z? I know some people that switch cars like crazy.

Might be also good to list what you use it for because a person that uses it as a daily driver would probably get a new car faster than a person who uses it for a weekend car.

Forever, I want to keep this car to show my grandkids what a rwd petrol manual sports car was back in the day.

Lets face it guys such car's days are numbered... i'm 25 now, and when i'm 50-60 i want to be one of those with a 2nd garage in the backyard working on upkeeping this beautiful machine... this current z design will NEVER get old =)

m4a1mustang 03-09-2010 03:59 PM

I have no idea!

shoopajae10 03-09-2010 04:03 PM

Until I die!

Matt 03-09-2010 04:03 PM

It depends on when I start having children, my employment future, and my location.

If I have 2 kids, a better job, and a house in VA in 5 years...I'll be driving an Escalade EXT, not my Z, sadly.

If it's 10 years from now and I'm still living in GA, with no kids with my current job? I'll be in my Z!

4r3s 03-09-2010 04:19 PM

wheres the option for when the wheels fall off?

TamZ 03-09-2010 04:36 PM

Until they come out with a 390Z...mmm...maybe 400Z? :)

Togo 03-09-2010 04:40 PM

Life

fullmonty 03-09-2010 04:41 PM

Until the next body style Z comes out. Though I wouldn't mind keeping this car for longer

Vegitto-kun 03-09-2010 04:43 PM

untill it breaks down

cptspeed 03-09-2010 04:43 PM

Just ran across my bank contract. As much as its gonna cost me, I'm keeping it forever or will accidentally drive it off a cliff.

kenchan 03-09-2010 04:45 PM

i plan to keep it 5-6 minimum. and im going to pretty much keep the car stock (well, not the stereo cause it sucked i had to get that replaced with a nice HU).

elmz 03-09-2010 05:29 PM

Good question...I hope longer than 7 years this time. I always thought I'd never part with my 350Z because I loved it so much, but when this car came out...I had to have one. I can be very impulsive and it sometimes gets the best of me, despite my better judgment. I would be debt free right now and I could have bought some property in a year or two....but I couldn't fight it. I seriously hope the next Z doesn't get the best of me. I should really buy a house next...

OMGWTFBBQ 03-09-2010 05:32 PM

F-O-R-E-V-E-R.

This 370z is my first "sports" car. I'm going to keep it until something dies. Then I'm going to rebuild it. This car holds a lot of sentimental value for me. :D

Hopefully when that day comes, my car note will be paid off so I can still keep the 370 and get the new one too :)

Chriz 03-09-2010 05:48 PM

at least until the next Z comes out. (assuming it will be even better than the 370z )

6MT 03-09-2010 05:51 PM

I can't vote on this one. I'll only hold onto it as long as I'm having fun with it.

FloridaViking 03-09-2010 06:10 PM

Until I die. :happydance: I have always kept my wheels for ten years or more.
If you take car of them, they will take car of you!!!

frost 03-09-2010 06:32 PM

Need the option "till the next Z comes out" http://www.the370z.com/images/smilies/happydance.gif

I don't know if I want another car note, however I'm planning to paid off my car in 2-3 yrs. If I get another car it will be a G37S.

WShade 03-09-2010 08:01 PM

4-5 then I usually move on. But, I will more than likely get another Z

Zigen5 03-09-2010 08:02 PM

Until this car becomes a collectible.... :driving:

zmyride 03-09-2010 08:07 PM

I will wait until the next Z comes out.

If I'll like its look, i will trade my current Z for the new Z.

If I won't like its look, i will trade in my current Z for a brand new Porsche Cayman S.

OldGuy 03-09-2010 08:09 PM

As long as I can comfortably drive it. I'm 62 now. Expect to I have 10 decent years left in the knees and hips.

dalparadise 03-09-2010 08:11 PM

My Z owns me.

Red370 03-09-2010 08:24 PM

How about a 560Z utilizing the 5.6 liter V8 out of the Titain pickup truck, oh the torque and exhause sound.:yum:

Zsteve 03-09-2010 09:43 PM

The numbers ie 350 370, have they always represented the liter of the engine?

Yes

Pushing_Tin 03-10-2010 12:43 AM

I get new cars every 2-4 years. But I may keep the Z a bit longer than normal.

mick 03-10-2010 01:50 AM

2012 is when the new rx-7 and c7 come out.
if they look better than the z, i may have to switch car :)

ricky bobby 03-10-2010 03:54 AM

Forever, its the first car to start off my car collection

j.arnaldo 03-10-2010 08:04 AM

...I feel I must clarify I own a 2004 Touring Coupe that's approaching its 7th year and, so far, she's an ace of a Sports car, reliability-wise. As long as God helps, I'm keepin' her! 350=3.5L, 370=3.7L

All these pictures of the 370z don't tempt you at all into trading her in??? :stirthepot:
