I believe the OP was suggesting that when it's dark out and you want to put your lights on and keep them on to just select the "AUTO" selection instead

I believe the OP was suggesting that when it's dark out and you want to put your lights on and keep them on to just select the "AUTO" selection instead of turning them to the "ON" position. My Z has been in the garage since October so I can't really remember the order light selection, but I can remember when I went to turn the lights to the "ON" position they went from ON/OFF/ON again which kills the life span of the bulbs. And for day-time driving you wouldn't select auto because of the whole pulling out of a garage or going through a tunnel thing which would also cause them to turn on and go off again.
