i had to drive 2 hours to get mine, because nobody near me had 2010's on the lot. i wanted PG as my first choice, but once i saw the PW i snatched it up...

I got my 09 PG Manual + Sprt Pkg in Irvine back in October. I was actually set on white or red. But they were hard to find at that time, and when I saw the PG in person I had to have it. Try opening yourself up to other colors, you could find that PG is not what you really wanted. I also drove up from SD, so try expanding your search and be willing to drive.

After a month of looking, I'm getting weary of trying to find a car. The dealer has had no luck finding anything.
If anyone has knowledge of a Touring Roadster Manual trans, (code 42260)in pearl white, wine interior, second choice gray interior, with or without nav and or sport OK, please let me know.

I never knew buying a car could be so difficult. Ordering now means you don't take delivery until near model year end. Wouldn't that be nice? Maybe a leftover Z4?

Im in the same boat and Im not even being quite as particular. Just want base with spts package and there are nonneeee on Long Island. I am not willing to make the jump to touring pricing, and the sports package synchro-rev is something I really want... I think there are some in PA, was hoping I wouldnt have to travel but I guess I may have to.

Check out Montgomeryville Nissan in PA. Was a little over an hour from me in central NJ. I saw a few there. Also ACME Nissan in South Brunswick, NJ. Saw some there on Monday.

No problem, if you go to Montgomeryville ask for Brian C. He's the guy I bought mine from. 5 min negotiation process.

Seeing as you have the setup I am looking for, would you mind shedding some light on the price they gave you? If you dont feel comfortable sharing thats cool.

My dealer here in San Diego received info on their "allocation" from Nissan on the 10th. My understanding is that during this mid month period dealers are able to configure cars going in to production in April, within certain limits, if they have buyers. They called and said they could configure a car with my choices if I put a deposit down, which I did today. The schedule calls for production in April, delivery target is May 10th. It sounds like Nissan is being really tough to deal with. They are being restrictive in what they will produce and ship in an effort to reduce manufacturing costs, so the dealer says. I will miss out on Robert's VPP program - that's a bummer. He gave me a number but we could not find a car anywhere. The dealer had no problem at all with a VPP sale.
If you miss this "allocation" period, you have to wait until next month, as I understand it. Nissan doesn't make this process easy!

You might check MVP Nissan in Exton PA (Philly suburb). They had a good selection a few months back when I was shopping and they seemed accommodating and honest.

Definitely not a problem here in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. The larger dealerships in my area have 6-8. I was at the dealership a couple of weeks ago for my first oil change and I counted six on the lot and three more in the back.

Thats the truth, there are plenty of them on dealers lots here. Some have been on the lots a bit as well.

Good luck buddy, you keepin the VR4?

kielbasa16 03-12-2010 09:13 PM

Plan is to keep it for the just this upcoming summer and putting it on sale in August. My little sister is coming home from college and will need a car (my moms current daily driver Murano) to get to some research program everyday, and my mom will get the VR-4 to drive to work! Once little sis goes back to school, the Mitsu is up for sale. I used to think I would keep it and work on it in my spare time, but this is my first real full-time job and Im realizing I dont really have the spare time, itll all be used driving or putting work into the Z haha.
