I don't blame you, thank God for facebook, keeps my wife busy while I mess around on this board a few days a week. Also stops her from buying those damn red soled shoes.... I'm going to go to payless, paint all the cheap shoes with red gloss paint and then it wont be so special to own them :bowrofl:

The only reason I came into this thread is because I sensed that someone was talking about Louboutins.

Haha, it's the same at our house. We used to fight over the laptop until we realized the simple solution - his and hers laptops.

Me=car forums
Her=facebook and blogs

And don't get me started about shoes...:shakes head:

Mine HATES the fact that I am on this site all the time. She's not that big into Facebook or anything like that so she just usually yells at me about being on here.

The only way to make it better is to take her to Bloomingdales :shakes head:

You guys would love my office for parking.
It is a small office <20 people and basically it is just an open area behind the building. Three cars park near each other (2 mustangs & my Z) and everyone else leaves us alone basically and tries to get as close to the building as possible. We try to park nicely with enough space to respect each other, every so often someone in the office tries to be funny and park near us, it is not funny.

On campus I pay extra to park in a parking garage, top floor or one below is usually 65% full at the most so plenty of spaces free to have extra room on either side.

I'm beginning to think I must be abnormal..because I actually really like looking through this forum. I do like facebook, and I do like Bloomie's...however, I don't actually own a pair of Louboutins :) I'm pretty casual... :) Give me some Roxy Flip Flops or sandals and I'm good!

This morning as I was walking to class, I saw this fun surprise that someone left me last night:

http://i920.photobucket.com/albums/a...44556847_0.jpg

And the driver (of a Saturn Aura, no less ) had Faculty tags in the car, so he or she could've parked inside the University garage. I left a quick one word note on the person's windshield: "Douche". I used my left hand so if the driver turned out to be one of my professors, I wouldn't be identifiable.
Parking in the city blows.

Uhm, hope you're planning on making them fix your car. Even if it's just a 100$ buff and wax.

Oh hell no! A note? Really? That deserved a foot into the drivers door, a nice deep dent. You are very kind.

I hate to say it but it's just part of the city. Can't expect to park on the streets and maintain a perfect paintjob. Just too many idiots with no respect for other people's property, little people with huge SUV's (that don't really belong in an urban environment), and pigeons.
Luckily, my license plate took the blow. In fact the two little nubs actually left slight indentations in the person's rear bumper.

You see, there is justice in this world!

City driving is insane, there really is no point in keeping a nice car in cities. If I were you I'd buy a beater to take around the city and keep the Z for weekends in the country or the track.

When I first purchased my Z I went to the movies with my wife. When I came out, I found a D-bag with him POS rusted truck parked so close to my car I had to back out to let my wife get in the car. The best part is I went out of my way to pick a place away from everyone

billydsz 02-18-2010 11:48 AM

That's too bad waaaasabi that you can't swing another car. I am fortunate to own a 92 explorer (Bought it new and still runs great) that is perfect for snow days and any bad weather. My Z stays safe in the garage, and I am driving a 4wd vehicle in bad weather, win win.

I think when you buy a car like a Z, that really is not what you would classify as "practical" a second car is almost a must. I mean how do you buy something big at the store? I guess you have to get everything shipped to you.

Yeah---I thought that happened only to me and my cars. Really makes one mad and that guy parking practically on top of you always has an old, dirty junker all dinged and scuffed up and there's always a thousand other spaces he could have used. Sometimes I wonder if its not some envious s.o.b. just trying to be miserable.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. Back when I drove a miata, I would park out in the sticks just to avoid the door-dings, etc only to come back and find a POS pickup or SUV parked right on top of me way out in the middle of nowhere. That tended to happen alot more at places like WalMart...
