It's safer, it keeps both hands on the wheel.

Since the numbers are so varied from review to review, I'll still waiting for someone to do a review with both transmissions side by side. Probably won't get one. :(

RCZ did one.

I'm talking about timed runs, etc. I want to know where the sacrifices are between the two. i.e 0-60 numbers, 0-100 numbers, 1/4 mile numbers, etc in the same environment with same driver. If they are very close, I'd be inclined to go with the AT so the wife can drive it.

But it isn't your car, so why bother caring? I'm glad they give us more options, and all these negative comments about an AT sports car are narrow-minded. I myself plan on testing both transmissions out, because bumper-to-bumper traffic in my 6MT isn't fun. I never considered the 350Z's 5AT, but the 370Z's 7AT looks pretty sweet.

But back on track, if you do not enjoy a 7AT, it's as simple as not getting one and not questioning other peoples' transmission choices. Everyone has their own preference, and there's nothing wrong with it as long is it isn't harming someone ;)

I can only comment on the G37 at vs mt. numbers have showen the AT is slightly faster in the 1/4 mile. but I have seen #'s that go both ways but never by more then a tenth. so ya the MT and AT are cloce in terms of time.

My other fear is that I'd buy the AT and right after they'd come out with a real dual clutch AT option. That would be my luck.
