I WANT THOSE SO BAD!!!! I Hear that adding those lets so much hot air out that you get 100hp!!! hahahaha i love seeing cars with those on the hood and the sides

marcussoori 01-29-2010 01:25 PM

Not rice, IMO. I'd like these, and prefer them to the custom headlight "landing strip".

I think they both look bad, but in different ways.

SophiaZ 01-29-2010 03:40 PM

BUY REAL RICE?!! wow
I actually kinda like them lights, but won't put them on. I already have leds for the headlights.

IDZRVIT 01-29-2010 03:46 PM

I think it would look really rice, er nice, if you also hung illuminated dingle balls around the perimeter of the headliner accented with illuminated rosary beads from the rearview mirror.

STItoEVOX 01-29-2010 03:55 PM

eh maybe not quite rice but very, very corny.

unless its an emblem made specifically for that car, if the directions are as follows:

1. Clean mounting surface
2. Remove adhesive protective strip
3. Apply to vehicle

...you might want to skip that item.

6MT 01-29-2010 03:56 PM

Curb Feelers!! THAT would complete the look! (Although, curb feelers aren't necessarily a "rice" thing.)

marcussoori 01-29-2010 04:29 PM

Anyone know the release date on this?

SophiaZ 01-29-2010 05:03 PM

What's a "curb feeler?"

The devices are fitted low on the body, close to the wheels. As the vehicle approaches the curb, the protruding 'feelers' act as whiskers and scrape against the curb, making a noise and alerting the driver in time to avoid damaging the wheels or hubcaps. The feelers are manufactured to be flexible and do not easily break.

Where I grew up in the '60's they were very popular.

I saw them on a 350Z the other day. They looked terrible. The lights are too big and look like it's a Pep Boys stick-on.

MC 01-29-2010 06:54 PM

they look just like the GT-R ones that MSRP for like $1400 . wonder how much they will be for the Z

in japan the skyline sedan G37 has them as an option now aswell but i think those are only 4 LED unlike the 5 LED on the Z and 6 on the GTR.
would have to see them in person not sure about the placement for the Z. on the GTR i love them but cant justify the cost not to mention you need to take the front bumper off to install

here is what they look like for the GTR. while the mounting is differnt im sure they are in essence very similar

o0javi0o 01-29-2010 08:01 PM

they look awesome!!! looooooooove them to death.............NOT

Not a good looking accessory for the Z in that zone. The gap between each LED is not proper, imo.
Anyway, if someone likes it, great.

Mike 01-29-2010 08:15 PM

wow, this post really took off!

I don't care for them myself, and I am done with cosmetic mods, unless I do them myself for free, but I have never seen an actual factory accessory get this much negative response!
