I found another outlet in the middle
 

hey i was messing around.. .and figured out the cup holder can be removed adn there is another power outlet there... anyways just wanted to share, i hope this helps someone who charges their phone, it's closer than the other one.

it's pre-wired for the ones with nav, as an input

The 2010 don't get the tray. It's absent from the owners manual.

mine is a 2010 and i got the tray.

Since it's a nismo it probably is a 09.

Isn't this mentioned in the owner's manual? :icon14:

nah. the paper work and the sign on the back of the car all say 2010. they continue to make the nismo for 2010.

the dealer just didn't put the tray in for the ones that did not have it.

The 09 manuals show the tray. The 2010 manual doesn't show the tray.

There is only one way to know if you have a 2010, your vin.

but if you buy a new car, you would want to get everything that comes with the car.

it looks big enough to fit some sunglasses. mine barely fit with the tray in...

the slot for the cup, i get but i don't get what the other 2 slots are for.

I keep a leatherman skeletool in there.

Talking about outlet, I am about to relocate or disconnect the one below the passenger side. It interferes with my legs.

also i think the other slot on the tray that i ditched too is for business cards maybe ...?...

and if you look at your center console while it's opened, you will also notice close to the top corner, there is a semi-circular hole cut into the console, that's so you can plug in your cellphone charger or any type of power adapter inside the console, and run the cord outside and close the console, AND charge your phone (...or whatever...hahaha)...

I store 3 extra WHP in my tray. j/k

The tray is worthless if you use the plug or audio video inputs... Mine's somewhere in the garage...

surprisingly, i don't see one for sale on e-bay yet :)

I suppose if you never had it you won't miss it.
I picked my new Z up last week and there wasn't one in the console.

So on a more worthwhile subject about outlets are we pretty much limited to passenger seat missionary or has anyone figured out another way yet?

Edit: adding some rules to the game, must be in the car moving or not with the windows at least halfway rolled up and all doors shut. if you added a moon roof nothing lower than the neck or higher than the knee can stick out.

azn370z could be right , mine is a z34 10 0004 but the tag on the driver's side door say 10/09.

I seriously just noticed this extra outlet today, when trying to find an extra accessory power wire to splice the fog light with...and was like OH SHAT would you look at that...after being pissed for a year of having the car and switching devices every time with the one under the glove.
