I'm in the body shop buisness, and when we have a car in our shop that is similar to yours. You need to have patience.. People do not understand the hard work and time that we put into these cars to fix them the "right" way. The more your call and complain about how long your car will be with them then your just going to piss someone off, and your car will end up being half a$$ed, so best word of advice is too wait an the final reward is going to be worth the wait. An on another note don't exspect it to be perfect neither, chances are it wasent perfect before the crash anyways.

I agree!!! :shakes head: RED CARD....
The car was new, and as perfect as it can get coming from the Factory.. |
It's like the old saying "fast, cheap, high quality. Pick 2"
If I leave my car there for three months, I expect to at least get quality out of the deal. If it's not going to be perfect, at least give it back to me fast. |
What I'm sayin is, when u deal with cars for a living car's from the factory usually aren't perfect from the get go. Take a corvette for example the gaps are horrible, with the materials cars are made from now a days flex with heat and the cold. On a warm day gaps can change, with this after a car accident gaps will never be perfect unless you have a experienced tech that Is willing to spend countless hours fine tuneing those gaps..
When u get your car back look at those gaps. Especially on doors there. You will see what I mean, you can have them adjust them and adjust them but it'll never look the same. |
I know were not talking about a corvette would it make u happy if I used a different car as an example?

You can get Nissan to cover the payments of your car call them up and complain you've been without a car for 3 months I've seen it done before.
|
I checked the gaps and fitment on my Z when i got it (i do some body work and i tend to do this with every car i own don't get me started on the doorhinges of an f-body) and was by far the straightest most aligned vehicle I have seen but being as it was car 114 maybe they were just paying attention. I have seen supercars that are put together worse(mainly the Ford GT40 which has lower build quality than a fricken mustang).

I am betting pieces are on back order! I have been waiting for 3 months for my Nismo Sideskirts!!! thats right 3 months waiting because nissan doesnt want to release them in a timely manner. When I had the dealer check in early december there was one passenger skirt in the US but no driver. By the time we went to obtain at least the one passenger skirt like 15min after seeing it was there it was gone! so be patient trust me my car spent close to 6 months last year in shops and I ended up driving other vehicles forever and a day! Trust me you will love to have it back when you get it  GL

NISMO parts take a very long time to come in. Trust me, the 350z NISMO was the same way. You got a limited edition car, so it will take much longer to get items in.
