You can get Nissan to cover the payments of your car call them up and complain you've been without a car for 3 months I've seen it done before.

I checked the gaps and fitment on my Z when i got it (i do some body work and i tend to do this with every car i own don't get me started on the doorhinges of an f-body) and was by far the straightest most aligned vehicle I have seen but being as it was car 114 maybe they were just paying attention. I have seen supercars that are put together worse(mainly the Ford GT40 which has lower build quality than a fricken mustang).

I am betting pieces are on back order! I have been waiting for 3 months for my Nismo Sideskirts!!! thats right 3 months waiting because nissan doesnt want to release them in a timely manner. When I had the dealer check in early december there was one passenger skirt in the US but no driver. By the time we went to obtain at least the one passenger skirt like 15min after seeing it was there it was gone! so be patient trust me my car spent close to 6 months last year in shops and I ended up driving other vehicles forever and a day! Trust me you will love to have it back when you get it  GL

NISMO parts take a very long time to come in. Trust me, the 350z NISMO was the same way. You got a limited edition car, so it will take much longer to get items in.

I assume this is Royal Palm Nissan?
I'm in Wellington and service my 350 there.

NYBladeZ 02-16-2010 10:53 AM

Damn this fix still isn't done? Wasn't the initial estimate a few weeks?

antman22 02-16-2010 11:23 AM

screw the airbags, just give your passenger a helmet :D

NYBladeZ 02-16-2010 03:01 PM

man, it's a leased Z and the OP has paid for almost 4 months and still no car

theDreamer 02-16-2010 03:05 PM

Crashed my 370z Nismo yesterday

Guys, the same with me... VDC off... I was used to drive the 350z with no VDC but the Nismo is kinda different so I slid to the curb and guess what... my rear suspension, axle, springs and rim are gone...

How long did take to yours to be fixed?

semtex 05-03-2010 12:36 PM

Sorry, has to be done.

My opinion..you should've went with a body/collision shop. Nissan won't do a better job than anyone else. In fact, a body repair shop can make the paint look BETTER than when it did coming from the dealership. Which I do believe since I got into an accident with my 350z and the paint job was way better than Nissan's crap and it was so beautifully shiny :) Daym, I miss that car haha. BUT...I hope you get your Z back soon!!! I feel for ya

rockhounds 05-03-2010 11:53 PM

Hi Juan, I saw your post and I feel sorry for your Nismo buddy. Mine was wrecked yesterday as you can see in my post and I took her to the shop today so tomorrow they should have some findings on what was affected by the hit. Have you already gotten your Nismo back? Did it take too much time to be fixed? Is it driving ok so far?

Thanks for sharing your experiences... I'm in Miami by the way, so hopefully we can get together after getting mine back...
