Owners Age
I've been getting a hard time since I purchased my 370Z. I'm 62 yr old male and all I hear is, jealousy, but they say it like "you having a mid life crisis"? Without asking everyone to list their age, that would be way too many replies, is there a way to generate a survey so it's one reply but each person can log an age? Maybe someone could even make a survey outside this forum and give us all the link to hit and add our age. I think it would be interesting to see.

I think you can find a survey generator online and add the link here and those inclined could participate in your survey. It may end up having to be an age bracket per selection since I don't know if you'd be able to get that much options for that big of an answer pool.

I'll simply ignore those reactions/response... they're just having a "Z-less crisis", simply as that |
Thanks. I was hoping to see more in my age group. I guess if you're on this form and you've never went to that survey go out there and log your age, we'll see if it's up-to-date

I'm a Hunert and 2.
Nah. I'll be 57 this summer. It isn't a mid life crisis car, it's an "I can finally afford the kind of cars I want" car. Kirk B. |
You're hanging around with the wrong people. I'm about your age and when I had my Z I got a lot of "nice car" and such but very few "mid-life crisis, huh?" remarks.
As with many on this site, it wasn't so much a mid-life crisis as it was finally being able to afford it. |
We have many older folks on here. A good bit of us have flashy Nismo 370z's also with turbo's. LOL Just be like a honeybadger, he don't give a fluck.

Haters are gonna always hate.
I've gotten both compliments and insults, both verbal and nonverbal. And at the end of the day, I am happy, and that's what matters. I am alive, have my dream car, part of the best online forum, and able to pay my bills on time - Can't ask for more. I'm 34 BTW. |
I'm 64. I could care less on what other people think. Yep, I'm a honeybadger. I bought the car for me and not them. My daughter thinks that I'm on my 4th or 5th mid life crisis. :icon14: After I bought my Z. She bought a Z too.

45 and been told plenty of times it's a mid life crisis car. Having the roadster doesn't help.
I don't care what people think though, I love the car. |

My Dad bought a Z32 because he had to have a faster car than my S13. We have been a Nissan family because a Nissan Primera saved my mum and Dad’s life, head on collision. The truck driver behind said it was like slow motion, saw the ripple go through the Primera body I really want to put a Sunny GTI-R engine into an Almera, but also want a Honda vtech engined .... I used to have a Vette and wow, that crowd is too old for me 70+. I’m glad I have my Z Nismo now. I get thumbs up from everyone regardless of age. I’m 53 by the way.

My dream is to properly restore the Z32 and put it alongside the Nismo Z34 roadster

I feel like i'm part of the younger crowd on here. (29 tomorrow)
I was fresh out of highschool when these cars were released. I had my eye on one ever since. It has seriously been a dream to own, and other than the wet seat belts i haven't had a single issue out of it. |

"You'll know when I'm having a mid-life crisis... because I'll be dating your daughter."

Owning a 370z is like dating a fat girl............its all fun and games in the sheets but you definitely don't want your friends to know or see you!!!

I get 'mid life crisis' comments and outright envy all the time. strangely, it's very often from someone driving a $60k suv? I'm like, it's a $20k nissan dude. if you want one just buy one.
anyways I'm 40. |
You're 62 and worried about people saying "mid-life crisis"?
I was older than that when I bought my '14 new, but I got all my mid-life crises out of the way in my 30s & 40s. I gave up caring much about other people's opinions even before that. If you haven't done that by age 62, I strongly suggest you consider getting started on it. |
Just my opinion:
The 370Z is overpriced for what the market is offering. Besides, never accepted the "look".Typical Nissan. Start with a great design(looks good at all angles),them add stuff to make it look worse. My 62'Jag E-Type ,perfect design.After--how can you add to "perfect"? Need to go back to "out of the box" me says. Lighter,balanced--cutting edge looks to the original. Just sayin(So. expression I hate. |
47 here … and I tend to go through cars pretty often. A Z has been on my list since I tried to buy a '84 when I was 16 (unsuccessful). Finally got one in 2017.

49 here. On my 5th Z.

I am 63 and wanted a Z ever since I saw a 240Z back in the day.
I used my mid life crisis to buy a Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle (always had performance bikes when I was younger). Now I own the R1 and a 370Z. :tiphat: |
