Let's be honest, It's not like the Z is a Corvette in terms of age stereotypes.

Although I could see myself in a C7 Z06 in the future, mainly because I have a death wish on the track.

I live in a 16 house development and there are three guys on this block, all 70+ who have corvettes.

I think the key difference is that I will likely throw advans and a voltex wing on the Vette as soon as possible to establish what kind of person is driving it :rofl2:

I'm 35, always wanted to own a 300zx back when I didn't have a job or the money in the 1990s as a young teen. Ended up buying my first 2014 370Z last year.

Cars I've owned in the past, '98 Honda Civic, '08 Nissan Versa and my current daily driver '10 Mazda 3 hatchback.

I’m on my 3rd Z.
300ZX
350Z
370Z.
I’m 43 years old.

I’m 42, on my second G37 coupe, and expect my next Nissan product will be a Z. Does that mean I’d be going backwards getting the sportier model when I’m older? :icon14:

I've been getting a hard time since I purchased my 370Z. I'm 62 yr old male and all I hear is, jealousy, but they say it like "you having a mid life crisis"? Without asking everyone to list their age, that would be way too many replies, is there a way to generate a survey so it's one reply but each person can log an age? Maybe someone could even make a survey outside this forum and give us all the link to hit and add our age. I think it would be interesting to see.

I can't speak from experience because I'm 29, but I don't think I would give a goddamn about what people think about my cool sports car when I am 62. What do they expect you to drive? Something lame? My dad is 61 and just restored a '65 Chevelle his own way, blue rims and everything. Do whatever you want. I wouldn't think twice about talking to an older Z owner about our cars, probably would have a lot more of an interesting conversation than with some older guy getting into his minivan.

pretty much what everyone on here has said rings true - do you enjoy the vehicle? Does it bring a smile to your face when you drive it? If so - don't worry about what others think and enjoy the drive (not many cars out there now days that check a lot of the boxes for enthusiasts like the Z does).
I'm 44 and this is my second 370z - like I tell most people - it's not a stoplight monster like a Mustang or Camaro but it is a fun responsive balanced car that looks better than most sports cars (even after 10yrs). Have fun and enjoy it :)

61 year old here, sold my 13 z sport 2 1/2 years ago, now have a 17 Long Beach Blue BMW M2 for 3 years. Did some mods on both, which included the exhaust. When young guys with modded or sports cars about your age, see me coming out of my cars, they freak! In a good way and we always have nice conversations about cars.

Amen. I was in Hawai'i during the late 80s & early 90s, when there were some 'issues' with some of the locals and service people. :ugh2: Some of the military guys were getting 'adjusted' by some locals. :bowrofl: Any way, I was coming out of a bar on Kuhio late and was heading to my car (78 Vette) when I was surrounded by a group of very large local folks. They were giving me crap all the way to my car, then when they saw the car it was like,'Brah...that's a cool car'... Then I was cool.

I was with my future wife in Maui sometime in 83 - 85 and it was the vacation from hell. Everything from lost luggage, to having the plane turn around due some guy having a heart attack somewhere over the Pacific Ocean. The Airline had to put us up for the night and stuck us in this fleabag motel. We had nothing to eat and they told us to get in the buffet line at the wedding that was going on.

But the worst part was my wife wanting to go to this cheesy lua. As we were walking in this chubby native starts busting my balls about my long hair, and calling me a faggot, etc. etc.

When they finally came out with that disgusting pig, I refused to eat it. my New Pal came over and got in my face. I nailed that fat fucker square across his jaw. he didn’t go down, but I staggered him enough that he left me alone.

Wasn’t worth the 4 bones I broke in my hand, but we still laugh when we tell that story to anyone who tells us how great Hawaii is.
