Rain FTL

300twinz 07-22-2010 06:02 PM

Come on Sunday :happydance:

Mike 07-22-2010 09:10 PM

if anyone needs a room reservation, pm me. I have a reservation at the overflow hotel, hilton garden, that I wont be using, as I later made a reservation at the marriott across from the main hotel. I will be cancelling the reservation monday, unless someone wants it.

The BlueMax 07-23-2010 11:12 PM

That would make a great photographic backgound for any Z passing through If it rains alot will be the only reason to keep me home.

Spartan 1771 07-24-2010 09:39 AM

Rain or shine, I'll be there! To big of an event to miss just because of a little rain.

shoopajae10 07-24-2010 10:43 AM

Probably not going to rain, everything less than 50% means its most likely not going to rain.

Robert_Nash 07-24-2010 11:31 AM

Looking at weather this far into the future is usually not very productive. However, late July weather is typically going to be hot, humid and most days will have at least a decent change of t-storms in the afternoon. But, as was mentioned above, they are often very scattered and/or only last for a very short time; really not worth worrying about.

I hope that all the 370Z.com members will stop by and say hello...as I mentioned above I've put together the Pratt Museum/Fort Campbell cruise; the museum will be interesting to anyone who cares about our military history (the museum is dedicated to the 101'st Airborne Division and the roads, especially on the return leg will be a lot of fun (and much of them recently resurfaced after the flooding in May).

If you don't fine me on the cruise; I'll be in the People's Choice section of the car show on Saturday...just look for the "basset hound" car (and if the weather isn't too hot the basset hound herself may be there as well!

I hope that everyone coming has a safe trip; nothing can ruin a great car event faster than a wrecked car.

DaveyJones 07-24-2010 12:03 PM

I will be up there. Driving up with some Z guys down here in Chatt

shoopajae10 07-24-2010 12:08 PM

Ill make sure to come find you to thank you in person Robert! I was able to buy the Z because of your help with the VPP!

Being a weatherman must be one of the greatest jobs in the world: They are never right and no one ever expects them to be. If only things worked like that at my job. ;)

NIZMOZ 07-24-2010 02:42 PM

If you see a Blue Acura TL Type-S that would be me. :)

300twinz 07-25-2010 06:10 AM

Before I even hit play I knew what it was gonna be! I love that movie!

"Daddy, look at that mangy ole alligator crossing the road"

"Junior, that reminds me, I gotta call your momma"

Robert_Nash 07-25-2010 07:34 PM

Smoky and The Bandit is, without a doubt (no arguments accepted) one of the greatest if not the greatest "car" movies of all time.

Of course the fact that I owned a '73 Formula 400 Firebird, a 1976 50Th Anniversary (Black/Gold) TransAm and and 1979 Black/Gold TransAm has nothing to do with my opinion on the matter nor does the fact that the movie might even have had a hand in my love for Basset Hounds! :)

How sad that Jackie Gleason and Jerry Reed have already left us.

Anyone from the Atlanta area heading up this weekend? Got any plans / want to meetup?

My buddy and I are leaving Atlanta Friday afternoon to head up there.

Mike 07-26-2010 05:41 PM

I'm leaving Atlanta on wednesday. Was planning on washing the car tonight so I can clean the rest up and wax it tomorrow in the airconditioned garage, but the thunderstorms have killed that plan.

Spartan 1771 07-26-2010 06:41 PM

All cleaned, shined and shrink wrapped. Car is all ready for the first leg to Bristol Virginia! I'm leaving at 6am and meeting up with the Maryland Caravan at 9am.

See ya'll in Tennessee on Wednesday!

Mike 07-26-2010 08:06 PM

Will that hold for that trip? Because I tried that for ZdayZ and it didn't work for me.

kevr6 07-26-2010 09:27 PM

I'm leaving Wed sometime! Now I have a slow leak in a rear tire so I have to deal with that.
I also have another exhaust that won't be here till wed now. My wife ended up having to work so she is now on route to Paris for three days (not coming). Hoping this week gets better. :shakes head:
Oh yes, and my vanity tags are still not here!

I used this twice already: a 6 hour round trip to to New Jersey and a 5 hours round trip to PA and it held up fine. I didn't hit any rain though. Did you drive through any rain? I always take my time applying it. To do the front end, it took me about 20-25 minutes. I try to make it is invisible as possible, although it always seems to be VERY visible.

The BlueMax 07-28-2010 09:13 PM

I'm thinking about using the blue painters tape, it won't look that bad on a blue car. I have been tracking the rain and although we have been getting our share of scattered showers here in Ky the last 2 days, Tenn. has been spaired for the most part. I'm leaving Louisville early Friday morning so I can get through Nashville just after the morning commute. Headed south I65 if anybody is going to be in the area, would of come down Wed. or Thur. but might of hit some nasty rain.

dj311 07-29-2010 12:32 PM

Washed her this morning, polishing and waxing this afternoon, and hoping for the best. No shrink wrap...just rawdoggin' it. haha

fairladyZ34 07-29-2010 01:20 PM
