No, the third group has no plans to meet us at the Tail. Not sure how many folks are leaving Tuesday morning but the leader of that group is Glen Newton from ZCOT. Hope to get more info from him soon (maybe at the Z show at Courtesy Nissan).

For anyone who plans to attend this event from Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC, I've created a caravan forum: http://www.the370z.com/mid-atlantic-...avan-whos.html

Check it out and sign up. Hopefully I will find at least a few others from this area to drive down and back with. I'm sure it's going to be a great trip!

Some of my friends from the NoVA area will be coming to ZCON, once I hear of their travel plans I'll post them here for you.

That would be great.

If you can, forward them my info. They can either PM me or just sign up on the thread I created.

is everyone staying at one of the two specified hotels, or does anyone plan on staying at another location? Although $119 a night really isn't bad, for me to make this trip using their hotel, it's gonna cost me well over $1500. I'm looking to save a little if I can. Anyone have any suggestions?

There are certainly less expensive hotels/motels in and around Nashville...the question is how far away from the host hotel do you want to stay?

You might look into Murfreesoro and/or communities that are close to State Route 840 as that can take you to Franklin/Nissan Hqtrs area pretty quickly (but it is about 25 miles away).

I'd rent out my spare bedroom but I've already got one guest coming from Detroit for the convention!

Update from another site:

Just returned from two days in Nashville discussing the convention plans with four of the convention guys. We met with Nissan, the hotel people and the track people also. The convention hotel is within walking distance of Nissan and the car show. There will be three cars in the lobby and about eight more outside the front. There is tons of parking and plenty of room for the fifty-some trailers we are anticipating at the moment. The overflow hotel is about a mile down the road. It is a brand new facility and has the same amenities as the Embassy - indoor pool, business room, etc. Both hotel parking lots will have an off duty police officer for security.

We anticipate filling up the front lawn at Nissan with around three-hundred cars or more. Nissan headquarters will be open and food will be available in the Nissan cafeteria which services about 1,500 people daily. You'll be impressed. Special displays will be in front of the building including race cars, heritage vehicles, and concourse cars. There have been questions about tickets to just come see the car show and spectators are free. Because this show is going to be pretty elaborate, we decided to start parking cars around 6:30 in the morning and start the show earlier as well.

Nashville has it's problems with flood damage but should not affect our convention plans. My picks for local bars downtown include; Legends Corner and 2nd Fiddle for ambiance, Coyote Ugly and Stage on Broadway for dancing, and the quitessential dive bar with GREAT music - Full Moon Saloon. Here are some web sites for Honky Tonk Row:
Honky Tonk Row - Nashville Music Venue

Full Moon Saloon Nashville | Facebook

Legends Corner

The Second Fiddle: Live Music Venue

The Stage on Broadway: Nashville Live Music Venue

Coyote Ugly Nashville
