Do you daily drive your Z?

If not what do you drive?

wideglideleon 11-26-2019 03:35 PM

Yes I daily my SC 2009, she wouldn't forgive me if I left her behind.

Zingston 11-26-2019 03:43 PM

Almost 50/50 my Z and my Jeep.

I split the time between MZ DAIZY and my Harley to keep the resale value high on both

JARblue 11-26-2019 05:52 PM

I put over 100K miles daily driving my 2011 Z until a few years ago. Now I split time about 95/5 between a 2004 Lexus ES330 with 93K miles and a 2013 Honda Fit with 43K miles.

KN21283 11-26-2019 06:03 PM

I daily drove my 2012 Z for the first 15k miles but it currently sits at 27k. My daily is a 2017 Subaru Forester Xt with just under 20k miles

EZT 11-26-2019 06:31 PM

Everyday. 172k miles.

Red Voodoo 11-26-2019 06:53 PM

I'm fortunate enough to consider mine a weekend car. 35k on the clock. My daily is a 3rd-gen Acura TL.

Quicksilvers 11-26-2019 07:18 PM

I sold three vehicles to make room for my Z in the garage. My 17 Z currently has 29K on the clock. Since I purchased my 2018 Nissan Maxima as my daily driver it keeps the miles off the Z so it is not my daily driver. I try to drive the Z when during the time I am not attending track events.

crazy4oldcars 11-26-2019 07:49 PM

Every. Damn. Day.
'16 NISMO with 45,889 miles on the clock.
Honestly, I can't imagine wheeling anything else.

Daily drive my 2016 and currently have 63,486 miles on her.

vtec to vvel 11-26-2019 09:35 PM

Nope. My Z is a one-day car (only driven to/from church on Sundays) and sits in the garage 6.5 days/week. Just hit 32k miles on my ‘13.

Spooler 11-26-2019 09:49 PM

Yes, every dang chance I get. Gotta get my money out of it.

confucius 11-27-2019 02:18 AM

Yes! All 4 nasty mid-west seasons since March 2013. 141k miles now and seriously looking to get another one soon - before we don't have these kind of affordable, capable & tactile sports cars any more. (And I need a fresh 179 deduction number.)

Just gifted 'er fresh Blizzaks for the coming white!

sp911 11-27-2019 06:20 AM

90/10. i'll drive the 16 year old 4runner on snowy days and rainy days just after I wax her.

danegrey 11-27-2019 06:57 AM

well I voted no, but that's a hard one, since I do take it out and drive on special days. But I do track it and enjoy driving it hard. my current daily is a mini cooper convertible, but looking at a C6 as a daily. The Z will always be my first choice, looking at tracking it more next year....

2011 Nismo#91 11-27-2019 07:49 AM

My Daily drive,
http://www.the370z.com/members/2011-...ily-driver.jpg

Evolve GTX 2x2HP motors, up to 25mph and 30mi range. I only take it up to 12-14mph.

dave11 11-27-2019 08:03 AM

Yes! Driving had become so joyless, and I love to drive. That is why I bought the Z. Now I look for reasons to drive. The car is a joy to drive, because I am actually involved in making it go, not just point and shoot.

That’s a great analogy! Couldn’t agree more!

Felix 808 11-27-2019 11:40 AM

Heck I hardly drive it at all let alone daily. Usually on a bike for the daily duty. But when I do drive it, it's a fun purposeful drive, no grocery getting.

It's fun as a grocery getter, too. People are looking at you like, "He's gonna put all of THAT...in THERE!"
Yeah. It'll fit.
If I'm after more than a cart full, I'll drive the truck. Horses for courses.

I need 800hp to get my groceries. I don't care if folks think it is stupid. I am all about having fun.

This is exactly why I dumped my Maxima and got a 370z back in 2014. My hr commute was killing me. Now it is Yippie, time to go home/work.

Fuzzzy 11-27-2019 12:15 PM

Voted Yes, but should have been Yes But ...

I DD my Z, but I drive much less than I used to as I'm retired.

My wife and I decide which vehicle to take on out of town trips based primarily upon two factors: how much crap do we have to tote and whether there will be any fun roads involved.

For local travel together, she usually insists that we take the Z unless we need more room (yep, more crap involved) or we will be driving on roads with known huge potholes.

JLarson 11-27-2019 12:53 PM

DD mine. It's pretty rare that I have to take the truck, only when the temp really drops low. I didn't buy it to look at it, or have it take up space in the garage, I bought it to enjoy the hell out of it. Spooler gets it.

Yeap, just got done ripping it to the grocery store. LMAO...

I can get 2 full golf bags, a cooler and shoes in mine. People are always amazed when I pull up.

axmea? 11-27-2019 06:05 PM

A G37 if not the Z. I prefer the Zs seats.

The Z Philes 11-27-2019 11:33 PM

My wife daily drives ours. I get to drive it around on weekends and holidays. Got some rural roads in front of me tomorrow, can't wait to get into the throttle a bit.

I don't DD, but I always find an excuse to drive a few (tens) kms after work :)
My daily has been a 2001 Toyota Celica for more than 10 years now. Its engine is slowly dying, however, so I am afraid we will be parting ways soon :(

3.7 ZPA 11-28-2019 09:28 AM

The Z gets DD duties from April to November, unless I need the room. Otherwise, I have a 2017 base model Legacy. It's a nice car, but absolutely lifeless to drive. Thankfully the lease is up in June.

Sell it to Obama, he’s looking for a Legacy!

Cory Gillmore 11-29-2019 05:29 PM

Yep. It's the only car I own. 90k on the clock, 20k of which are mine. Had it two years now.

zero 11-29-2019 07:02 PM

I drive the Z once a month. My daily is Golf R stage 2.

Spartan 1771 11-29-2019 08:18 PM

My Z is only a weekend car and is only driven in good weather. My daily beater is a 2012 Mazda CX-7 i-Touring. I'm the original owner and have put over 188,000 miles on it.

NecioVato 11-29-2019 11:57 PM

I daily the Z but I am looking to see what a 2nd car would run to have the Z be a 3x/wk driver as well as having a 2nd/daily that can be used during bad weather as well - leaning or WANTING an Golf R or a Civic Type R.

But the cost might push me towards getting a 2nd vehicle that is a SUV or maybe a Mini Cooper S for the cheap - although if it is cheap i feel that I’ll have to add $$ on top of it to keep it running etc......decisions decisions

Ive taken the roadster to costco before. Only bought a package of salmon and a 2x 2.5 gallon water. Had to open the box of water and split them up to fit in the trunk... and the package of salmon had to sit on the GF's lap.. :driving:

There's a really good joke in there... but I'll refrain. :icon14::ugh2:
