Factory Paint Not All That Bad... ?

I took my oil cooler block off plate off for the summer and this is what it looks like

When I looked at it through the grill I thought it was bugs, but those are actually rock chips. Now of course this is just a shitty two coats of cheap black spray paint, but it shows just how many rock strikes the front end takes. I only have a few chips on the actual car, nothing like those would suggest

You know it's bad when it only compares favorably to cheap rattle can paint. ;)

You might consider hitting that with some rattle can 2k clear after you repaint - i'll bet it will perform on par with the OEM paint...

You must have gotten a particularly good batch of factory paint - my stock bumper looks your blockoff plate.

I was in the garage yesterday and thought to myself, "This paint is so sensitive." My bumper chipped itself in response.
