Current 370z trims available:
Base is uh, basic Sport adds $4,000 in performance upgrades Touring adds $4,000 worth of interior upgrades Nismo adds stiffness to the Sport goodies Is there a reason this is on page 7? |

Weak VLSD which ends up being an open diff after a little heat Bose system with noise cancellation that everyone replaces Syncro rev - no comment Rear spoiler that does nothing Base and Sport suspension is identical Only advantage of the Sport are the larger, better brakes, and possibly the 19" Rays. Nismo springs and shocks are totally different from Sport, adds Yamaha chassis dampeners, and additional bracing on front shock tower brace. Also better wheels and functional aero package. Not trying to continue beating a dead horse, just tired of people making the Sport to be a superior car to the base, which it isn't. Some of you guys make it sound like it's the same as going from a Corvette Stingray to a Z06. |
It’s not like a base vette vs a z06 no, but those brakes are a pretty big deal. The akebono brake set up is awesome, and a big brake kit is an expensive add on. Rev match is a nice feature, and the Z looks terrible without a spoiler. “No one wants” is a huge understatement.

350z was around for 7 years and was developed better imho.
DE engine Rev up Engine HR engine Along with different lights, bumper and bonnet (hood) and interior tweeks . Also why did Nissan ditch the 350z alloy rear subframe for the steel one in the 370z? |

When it was unveiled on the 370Z, the sports package was one of the best valued dealer performance packages (w/o HP increase) on the market. That $3500 gets you a huge amount of performance upgrades. Compared to the extreme Nismo markup (for an aero kit, some dampers, and slightly varied exhaust and tune and suspension) the value is far superior IMNSHO. |

In regards to the statement about people with the add-on’s feeling superior compared to their base counterparts, well, I’d say give them the respect for spending the extra $. In retrospect, I always get the feeling that the owners without the sports package are bitter and resent the owners with the sports package (ie buyer’s remorse), but that’s just my opinion. I know I was when I was driving the base 350Z. |
I know there was a local listing for a used Z that did the same thing with the roof/hood/hatch. While I do try to respect people's tastes, that's one of those things I just can't understand at all.
Couldn't really expect much out of this 50th. I mean I don't think Nissan is banking on the idea of trying to win back former owners or have current ones re-buy. They're just trying whatever....edgy ways they can to make use of all the leftover parts — which will be great for us trying to keep our Z's running for much longer down the road. |
