How does the general public/ car community view the 370z in your opinion?

How do you guys think the general public and/or the car community view the 370z?

Its priced at a higher end of coupes but from your experience would you say that people view it as a luxury sports car, regular sports car, or a tuner car driven by teens?

I think the car is a Classic Sports Car.
Rear wheel drive. Beautiful body line.
I think 30 years from now they will be a sought after collector car,

Please define regular sports car. What other cars would you put in that category - mustang and camaro?

Cory Gillmore 12-17-2018 10:13 PM

I think the general public always tends to think it's a much faster car than it really is lol. I've had to tell multiple people "no, it won't go 200mph"
I don't believe it's seen as a kids tuner car at all. I think it's still a little too expensive for that at this point. People always think I paid way more for my car than I really did too, it just looks like an expensive car. The 350 could be there already though. Eh the average person probably doesn't even know the difference.

Yes, I would say the mustang, Camaro, Challenger, STi, S4

I'd say it is a regular sport car for all ages. It's not popular as it only serves a very small segment of the auto market, much like other 2-seat sport cars.

I wouldn't put the Z in the same category as the mustang, camaro, challenger etc... they are 4 seat muscle cars.

I was talking about this with someone a few days ago. In my experience, people think that the car is both more expensive and faster than it really is. Many people ask me if I've had it past 200mph. If they actually ask me how much I paid for the car, they look so surprised that it didn't cost Porsche money. I personally think it's awesome that people think this about our cars.

Stole the words right out of my mouth. My definition of a regular sports car are cars like Miata, Celica, MR2, Lotus Elise, the BRZ twins...

I would say the 370Z is somewhere between luxury sports car and regular sports car.

Now if you hella flush it :shakes head: - then the 3rd option would probably be more correct.

It attracts unwanted attention from the authorities. Been followed and pulled over more often lately. I think it's the other dumb sh!t5 that's causing me the headache.

blame that on those 'fast & furious' wannabes.... those idiots take over major intersections and do donuts.... And causing all these accidents on the streets, and some fatal, sadly.

I agree, it feels as though the 350 is a kids tuner car as they are cheaper and I see them riced out way more. It's only a matter of time before the 370 is I'm sure. Hopefully we'll have a new, sleek, sexy Z by then though.
