We're all Z enthusiasts here. We get it why the Z is special. Not many people buy brand new sports cars. The ones that do "such as i" are helping the moniker stay alive. If it wasn't for us new car buyers the Z would be dead...

BUT, that said... here's some related news.
Nissan lost 6.3% sales margin so they're cutting production by 20% in the U.S.A.

This goes back to a statement I've made on and off... When Nissan doesn't give the affordable halo some attention, they will lose their market share. Halos are so important because they give that family sedan purchaser something to look forward to.

Toyota, is losing its boring rep because the supra is coming. Meanwhile Nissan cut off the sport driving turbo juke for a boring kicks. Still no Z news and companies that are paying attention to mid pack sports cars are growing.

Heritage is everything. Enthusiasts make up 10% of all sales. But we are 100% the reason why people on the road consider a Nissan in the first place. It's when they are next to us at the red light that they think or say. Wow. Nissan is doing big things.

You can't get that reaction in a 10 year old car. What people are saying now is. Those are nice. Can't wait to see what the next one will be like? When Nissan doesn't produce. People lose interest.

You might be right. Watch them keep redoing the same 370Z until it just slowly dies. I for one have no issues with that as I just got mine not but a month ago brand new so I am hoping to enjoy it for years to come. As long as Nissan honors the warranty we are all good .

Sometimes I think Nissan is going out of its way to lose their long-time customers. Besides my 350Z, I've owned a Pathfinder, and I'm on my 3rd Xterra. Their current Pathfinder is bloated with stuff that I don't need and costs $14K more than what I paid for mine, and I'd never buy it. They killed the Xterra, so when my current one bites the dust, Nissan has lost me as an SUV customer. And if they don't produce a decent Z35, they'll lose me as a sports car customer. There's a huge disconnect between the company and its customers.

Thats what happens when penny pinching, bean counters run an automotive company. They have no ambition or desire to please enthusiasts and car aficionados. Thank God for choices.

Well said.... It seems Nissan is so obsessed with autonomy and EV future. They aren't caring about today's customer base. Success may not happen in that market for at least a decade. If they can't produce for today's customers? They may end up having Mitsubishi level market share, needing bailouts from Renault and Benz... smh
