I would still expect this to be a diy. I try to avoid panel removals but I wouldn't hesitate for a release switch. Worse example is probable routing wires thru the trans tunnel and a splice into the existing hatch wiring.

I don't think the pre-2018 models have only 4 speakers. Mine has 6 speakers and a sub-woofer.

My 13 sport Z only came with 4 speakers, missing the rear two. I’m sure with those, it would have sounded much better.

I def interested in the 2018's "concept of acceleration" changes. This seems like a throttle response improvement that often spoken about with other ecu tunes. After a few searches on dealer ecu flashing I saw a few posts, nothing conclusive but seems like a few have had updated software uploaded by the dealer. However the OP started this as an appearance topic, so I may go with a separate thread.

when you got your Z , were you happy?....now a new model comes up and is like you were ready to upgrade. Be real we love "our" Z as it is a new light button a new handle will not make a difference no disrespect OP but I love my Z and could care less about the new one s they indeed have not made go out and buy one in exchange for what I have
