If you own or like civics or BRZ's, the likelihood of spewing out ridiculousness in defense of your favorite econobox automobile is very high. Which means I have to associate myself with you by owning the car. And I don't wanna be associated with econobox performance activism for equal rights. You're in a civic. Accept it. You're not in a better car like the Z as Z owners must accept they don't own Porsche's n Porsche owners must accept. You're no Ferrari & Ferrari owners must accept you're no Bugatti.

In a civic, you're one upping a Kia Rio. That's one to grow on.

I'd never pay $45,000 for a civic when I can pay $25,000 for a GTi.

Why is there no "love" button?

Hey now! I owned a 2013 Civic Si! I nicknamed it the bathtub!!!

It handled like a tub, was white like a tub, was slow like a tub, and running water from a tub sounded better than the noises it made.

Oh, and I could shift the stupid thing without touching the clutch. Everyone complains about 1-2 shifting in the Z, but the Civic's clutch was so light I could hulk smash my foot through the floor and not feel a single thing. Oh, and for 24k, it didn't even come with satellite radio.

That car single handily made me decide to NEVER own another Honda ever again.

Oh, and the Z had a higher rpm range than that POS Si did as well. V-TEC my arse.

For all the bad rap Honda gets, mine was fantastic. It started every time, was good on gas and had enough torque to never bog down no matter how high I had let the grass grow since the last time I mowed. Also, just like their automobiles, it was stolen. :rofl2:

Was yours an older model? I ran blizzaks on mine all winter and it got stuck on 5 separate occasions. Once in a slight dusting of snow. Whenever the car sensed it lost traction, it cut literally all power to the point of stalling. Turning TC off just allowed me to melt the snow until the car found some traction and also allowed me to burn the clutch out of pure hatred for the thing.

Mine never got stuck. It was self propelled, and the 1.5hp pulled it along just fine. The Briggs and Stratton I replaced it with is just disappointing.

What in the actual hell happened to this thread?!?!?!?

Can we just say it has more torque and move on?

Or pick your flavor:
  • Understeer
  • Oversteer

Thank you drive thru.

Mine has 5.5hp and is stalling constantly :shakes head:

My guess-timate is 220+ flywheel hp and as far as torque -- I am absolutely unsure...

The car weighs only 2200 pounds and I run a close ratio Borg Warner t-5 5 speed with an R-200 3.90 rear.

Every now and then I think about putting her on a dyno...

I agree with this to a certain extent. I would much rather have a Ferrari or Lamborghini over a Bugatti anyday though. And I think I might even rather have my Z over a Porsche. Porsche is still really nice though don't get me wrong. I just love my Z :)

This is probably the most idiotically...unreasonable...nonsense commentary I've read all week...year...yes year.

I can agree to this based on reasoning alone, but everything before that was just heinous BS with zero bases. I don't even care for Civics or BRZ's. But to even make a statement like that...Is just simple minded ignorance.

"Ferrari owners must accept you're no Bugatti"... seriously wtf does that even mean. There isn't a single aspect to any argument where that makes any sense or even factually checks out. There are several Ferrari's that cost more, are worth more, and are faster than anything produced by Bugatti. The only claim behind a Bugatti (Veyron or Chiron) is acceleration and top speed, and in both regards there are cars that trump it, for less money or more. In a nut shell, the most recent Bugatti's are nothing more the exotic VW show pieces. Deny it...I dare you.

This is borderline some hate speech a wannabe supremacist would say. Whether you like or not, you're associated...accept it. You bought a Japanese produced car like anyone who owns a Civic or BRZ.

You autocross with those tires?

Actually, this is probably the dumbest reply I've ever read... yeah, ever. Keep up the excellent work Mays!
