To my eyes, the civic looks like a 6th grader smashed an egg shell then tried to glue all the pieces back together.
Having said that, the 370z is coming up on 10 years old and is pretty dated in terms of performance figures. The civic will be able to go just as well, and seat twice as many people. |

I wish Nissan would pull their heads out of their a** and quit making Nismo Sentras and Nismo Jukes and keep the Nismo name strictly to the GTR and Z. Those are the only two cars Nissan makes that deserve the Nismo name. I really want Nissan to come out with the new Z35 and R36 already. It should already be done at this point! Many others cars have been keeping their line ups updated and upgraded. It's time they upgrade the Z and GTR!!! I wish Nissan cared more -_-

I just do not have the physical self control to drive one. My father did have a bike when I was a kid, somehow the transmission locked up at 75mph, he laid it down and slid a long distance, lots of hospital visits, skin grafs, meds, etc. My mom kept the bloody jeans. So every time I brought up getting a bike, she would pull out those bloody jeans and I decided I'll stick with cars at an early age. Maybe it's a lame excuse but the car doesn't push me to temp fate. Too many things can go wrong on bikes, many of which are not in your control. Much respect to riders, just watching those mulholland drive videos still makes me question if getting one would be a good idea or not! I would love it if we could have a new s2k but for taller people without the over styling, otherwise I'll stick with the Z, it's just fun enough for some turns, and just boring enough to keep me from doing things that I shouldn't do (the wrx encouraged bad things). Back to topic: Any predictions when this over styled thing will start to go away? |
Maybe you should try off road bikes. I wouldn't touch a street bike where I live for the same bloody jeans reason, however I have a blast on my KTM 250. Lots of fun, and less painful when you bail.

Then.....I'm sure this is not even a discussion for you. The Nurburgring lap record shouldn't change your opinion one way or another in this case. I personally judge all cars by the quality and design of the interior. This is where I...the driver spend the majority of time viewing....driving the car. If there is fake flashy cheesy designs here, i can't care how good a car drives or looks on the outside, i'm not buying it. The steering wheel looks cheap and probably weird to hold, which is a major turn off. THE ONLY reason i got the G37 over the Z is because of the steering wheel and steering column length was just that much off for my driving position to be comfortable daily, now that i have another daily driver i'm tempted to trade in now for the Z. Brofiber and flaming red seats would have been a major hell no. In either case, the design and simplicity of the Z and G37 interior is way better. Although i like the design of the type R, its way too "tuner bro", and although i'm relatively young, i'm too old for that crap, i'm sure some of you feel that way as well. The car is for rich kids with rich parents, plain and simple. There isn't a single person in the world that would actually be happy owning this longer than a year...if that. I'd like to smash it around a track and give it back after a session of thrashing, no way in hell would i own it. The Z and the G37 are great touring and daily cars.
