Anyone in S.California have spare rims I can rent?
I know its unlikely but my car is going in for paint on Tuesday and it will be gone for 2 weeks. I want to get my rims powder coated when its in the shop so I can put it all together when I get it back on 12/31 or sooner.
So...I you have a set of rims/tires locally, I'll pick them up and pay you to borrow. Car will only be rolled around the shop and I'll make sure they stay perfect. Don't care what size, dont care if they are scratched up. I only need them for about a week but need them soon. Thank you!!!! |
Something cheap, I found out we have the same bolt pattern as Mustang and some other American cars. You can easily find some tiny wheels on craigslist with the same bolt pattern, since I assume the brakes and all will be off so you can easily grab a set of 13" wheels and be fine (maybe 15" since 13" might not get the car elevated enough).

Adam you know if the Z wasn't my dd I'd let you borrow mine. But I can't be rolling around with no tires lol. Meanwhile I'm interested to come up to chino hills to see the final product of even during the production of your crazy matte black Z.

if you said South JERSEY instead of California, I would've given you my sports pack wheel for a week (or as long as you need them). :(
|
^ another reason why you should relocate to S. Calif :D

Jake, did you say work? I wasn't even sure you were old enough to drive! HAHHA...kidding bro. KB and I are the old ones, I think DirtyDave has us all beat. I'll definitely keep you updated Jake, I'll post some pics on the progress and we'll swing by if your around. Marco is starting the headlight mod next week too so I'll have parts all over the place. Ordered more CF too...this car is going to be pretty cool when she's all done. |

That's funny. One thing about living in LA, everyone is an actor. I truly know no less then a dozen or so. Run into them all the time in Malibu as I'm down there every week for work.

Your right, I'm talking just the A and B list ones. My very close friend keeps a constant line with a lot of them so I see them at dinner quite often...just regular people that make a lot of $$...most are very cool though.
I'm the poor guy that they make fun of! :tiphat: |

and KB do you run with those springs or you just did a promo shot for them? I might be thinking about doing those on the car.
|
Its the least I could do for all the work Scott put into the meet. I was impressed that he didnt push parts on us either, very cool guys.. I like the charity stuff...
I'm in for coilovers, just need to decide which ones. |
I'm a bit afraid that once I put the Tanabe springs on to drop the car I'll run into problems with the FI exhaust that I'm planning on getting.

Still not sure which ones to go with. I want to make sure which ever ones I go I dont go too much lower, I dont want it to rub on speedbumps like some of the threads I've read.

Thanks Triple but on a couple of them they said they were just about maxed out and have 1.75" of drop. Can't remember the brand but I only have about 3.75" of clearance with the FI exhaust. If I drop another 1.75 that only leaves me with 2....screw that.
Which one would allow me full stock clearance yet the ability to knock it down for a track day. Willow is a little rough so I still wouldnt want to go too low. Needless to say, I'd like to keep the $ side reasonable... Thanks man |
