noise. 1 ticket so far (which I go to court on the 20th for after 2 extensions and a court date to place a not guilty plea). The other two I just show my previous ticket and they let me go.

Apparently cops don't like the sound of my engine :ughdance:

I'm not sure the Police know either.

To quote the State cop that pulled me over, "What are you doing?".

So he obviously didn't know either.

Most likely the speed 'cuz I didn't have any donuts on the passenger's seat. :icon17:

"Do you know why I pulled you over?"

"Because I let you" :D

I got a ticket for going 73 on a 65. That highway patrol was an a$$. Got pulled over 2nd time for modified exhaust. Swapped it back to stock and got it checked off. Once I arrived back home from the court, I immediately swapped it back to my F.I.

That sucks! How much was the ticket?

Ventruck 07-05-2017 10:54 PM

Got a ticket while parked for no front plate. I was waiting for my mount when I just got the car -____-

Been tailed by a motorcycle cop for light speeding. Basically just checked me, didn't pull over.

Why is it some states insist on that front plate? I'm in Florida and they don't but when I lived up north you had to have it.

Soliciting an undercover cop posing as a prostitute.

Not that I've done it ... I'm just guessing it might have happened.

that s*cks. The rule of thumb in ATL is you get 10 mph over. I've been told by an officer that in some places they will give you as much as 15mph. (Heck I've heard that 5mph over is the least attention-getting, apparently rigorously sticking to the speed limit is considered suspicious)

I can't think of a logical reason why other than "revenue" and to give cops another reason to pull you over.

I don't understand how Pennsylvania hasn't turned into a Mad Max style wasteland because of their no front plate law. /sarcasm

HaHa
I used to think it was because they have the ability to scan your plate from far away if you are going toward them but they can get your speed regardless.

Your thought on Revenue being a deciding factor makes the most sense. I had to google it and came across this. Apparently Denver generates 23 million dollars per year in these tickets for no front license plate.

Front license plates: Are they really necessary?

That 23 million is from our one toll road... We don't have toll-booths, just cameras, and they scan the front/rear plates to mail you the bill at the end of the month.

A lot of folks hate E470 because of the tolls; I love it because it's 75 and well maintained... That 23 million makes for some amazing asphalt. :D

The rest of Denver Metro's roads look like something out of WWII London... We drive a lot of Jeeps here, but not because of the mountains...
