950 miles is just a short drive around the block. :rofl2: Try 1,200 miles in 19 hrs non-stop. Ogallala Neb. to Brownsville Pa. :driving:

Hope you had fun at the wedding.

You forgot to add that was in 5 feet of snow with 3 flat tires and a blown motor :rofl2:

Bought a new steering wheel today. Nice flat bottom after market one. One question though, do I need to worry about how long I keep the battery disconnected while replacing the steewing wheel? I feel like I remember reading somewhere that leaving the battery d/c for too long messed something up...?

Nah. You'll be fine. I use to leave my disconnected from Oct through May for winter. Only had to reset the clock and drive it a bit to get a passing inspection. Changing the wheel will only take you roughly an hr the first time you do it. And that's taking it extremely slow.

Yeah, that's the kind of thing I did 50 years ago. ;) These days my wife and I have to pull into too many of those "rest areas" along the way to make that work anymore.

And, yep, the wedding was a great time!

Howdy all…. Not sure about Lein or Jlar but the skies above me in NJ are noticeably Hazy….saying it’s up in the atmosphere 10-20,000 feet up…smoke from wildfires in mid west…funny thing is you don’t smell any smoke. Weird.

Wrong thread. But it's hazy here as well. Figured it was either from the weather or spark plug boy setting his car on fire down in Queens.
