I've been working on installing my FI HFC. I tackled the demon bolts tonight, and believe it or not, they came out relatively easily. I soaked them with Liquid Wrench for a few days, and that seemed to do the trick.

I figured I was home free, but noooo. I have the Tanabe Medalion Y pipe, and the nut that's close to the bend is being a pain in the ***. I can't get a deep socket on it properly, because the space is too tight.

I tried a regular sized socket, but the stud was making it "bottom out." So, I used a wrench, but I didn't have enough leverage. Now, the nut is starting to round. Should I pick up a pass-through socket set, or pick up a set of crow's feet?

Slapped this beauty on and took Betty for a spin... steering with this wheel is like caressing a lover's body - hand placement is so intuitive.

Maybe a few last bubbles in the brake lines, gonna take her out later and engage that ABS, shake the last ones loose and re-re-bleed.

Very simple, I was quite surprised. I gave the CF portions of the wheel a ceramic coat as well, should help keep scratches down.

Ceramic coating isn't a bad idea. The good thing is that with proper hand placement, your hands aren't on the carbon fiber sections.

Exactly! I'm 6'4 255 lbs and my seat is as close to the floor pan as I could get without bolting directly to it, so my main concern was preventing scratches as I execute the 7-step procedure called "getting out of my Z."

I installed the cargo cover I bought from a member here, so now my subwoofer is 'invisible'. I also installed a real leather e-brake boot. I was going to apply the CF dash kit I bought but decided against it.

Also upgraded my AFFM (Air Functional Fang Mod) ... it’s not so ghetto now. More in my build thread

Have you had time to drive a bit and test its cooling abilities yet? If so, what are the differences in temp you're seeing? Thanks!

I have! Long story short, last week, 15 min of driving and 10 min of idling I saw 196. Last night 20-30 min of driving and 10 min of idling plus a little warmer temp outside and never went above 184, even cruising at 90mph for 5 min.

I need to get one... temps here in FLA are probably fairly similar to the Dallas / FW area.

Pleased as punch so far. Not a difficult install either. Think it took me an hour to install it and change the oil. Hour and a half tops.
