Woke up early and deicided to purchase some transmission and Differential oil and found the exhaust I've been eyeing for year for some 400$ off on sale.
Ordered soon as I did.

About to tackle putting in the wireless back up camera now.

Attempted, install failed. Everything connected to back up bulb correctly, but, no power is going to the transmitter and thus, no picture on the wireless display. The back up bulb and stop light are working but, could not get it to send power to the transmitter. Went back step by step and everything connected tight and correctly, I think.

Asking a fellow Austinite for 30 minutes of their time to do quick troubleshoot and make it work. Hopefully it is not a bad transmitter.

Tia,

Prior to connecting the power wire did you put the car in reverse and verify that you're tying into the correct reverse light wire?

Yes sir, and the camera wires still connected to it. When I put the car in reverse, the bulb lights up but no power goes to the transmitter. Hope to find local member to do quick troubleshoot.

I assume you have a good ground also?

The only ground wire was to the negative cable of the bulb which is connected too along with the positive wire to the positive wire of the back up bulb.

Thanks, I am sure is something simple that I am missing or the t-connectors provided are not making a good connection even though they look like they have a complete connection.

That can be so frustrating on something that should be so easy.

When I had my HU installed, they asked if I wanted the factory rear camera to show up on it (instead of in the mirror), they'd just have to adjust the voltage somehow but said it was easy.

I realize I have no idea what I'm talking about lol, just a thought.

I was having horrid flashbacks of that damn demon bolt when I was dealing with this thing! LOL

What's funny is that I was reading an old thread that I participated in about shift knobs, and I swore on there that I would not go with an aluminum knob again because of the heat down here in FL and how hot they can get. Well, so much for that idea. Haha

Also, some beauty shots... ;)
