I love the self righteousness by some, don't get me wrong if you want to do stupid, just do it to you and you alone, but tell me you never raced anyone or reved your engine at a stop light or sped off from the stop light because you need...wanted to get into the other lane for whatever reason. All of those action are called exhibition of speed and are illegal...Give me a freaking break I didn't build a car to have over 600whp and 500 ft/lbs of torque to drive Ms ******* Daisy! I'm with Jar and others...I like to feel the acceleration on a hard run and taking a turn at the limit. Nothing but open long straight road out here and most cops only stop those that are doing better than 90 because they are a dime a dozen on the way to and from Las Vegas. I been told hitting 140 or 150 is not that hard to do given the right conditions. Come to the Big Dog airstrip event at ZDAYZ and I will take you for 125mph pull if you have never done that...and I'm slow compared to many others at that event lol.

Anyway, be safe and have fun! I'm headed to Chuckwalla Valley Raceway this weekend and I think I will see 125 enough to get my fix till the next track day event next month.:driving:

IDK you guys.
I regularly drive on highways in northern CA where i get passed doing 80 in the slow lane. Also I live in a truly magical foothill area that has fast but technical 2 lane roads with the occasional long straight sometimes 4 lane (2 each direction). I have come up on people thinking they were driving slow, blown around them and looked down to discover I was doing 130mph. I'm not trying to brag about this. It's just facts. I hit 120mph in the rain the day I bought the car, again, to my suprise. Not to say I don't intentionally drive fast. I regularly hit 100 when passing people, but I try to keep it legal on the cruise.
Part of this may be that my DD 4cyl 2008 Frontier barely gets to 80 downhill, so I tend to cruise faster than I intend to..
But seriously, if you never use your cars potential, you may need to explore some new roads...

I rev at lights to make me feel like a racecar.... and then I usually stall. Now that's awkward.

I always launch if I'm first. 0 fks. Unfortunately my new rears don't bite as hard as re11 and that can cause some unwanted noise

What's unwanted noise? :icon14: A little tire squeal just means you nailed it :icon17:

I enjoy revving and squealing the tires on launch but then pulling away from the line at about the same speed I back out of a parking spot with huge trucks on either side of me ;)

You're not reading the discussion right, it's not that people don't go fast it's they don't post about or make threads about it. Because it encourages idiots to do stuff like this.

So I love the VQ, don't get me wrong... but to get to 130 without noticing... you gotta be not noticing for a bit lol.

I think I under the thread and the rules perfectly...the video you posted is just plain stupid and careless. I didn't even finish it. LMAO, idiots don't need encouraging they don't give a rats a$$ about anyone but themselves. I'm pretty sure Tripps would have shut this bad boy down if people were talking about street racing or something stupid like that, but just stating that one has done 125 or 160 and nothing else is up to reader to decide if it is stupid or not for them as no specifics are given to the actual conditions of said run. I agree some are not comfortable about confessing their need for speed and others are just pansies that like the car but scared to dive it like they stole it and then condemn those that do. As I have said before be safe...and as Client Eastwood so famously said "A man has got know his limitations!"

It's a bit more than a chirp.... bad enough I can't wot 1st and back off the throttle. Good thing when it's cold the tires just skip with no noise ;)

These A/S tires I've got are baller for launching off the line in the cold weather :icon08:

Approaching freezing my tires suck. Lol I'd be scared to get into high speeds. Definitely notice longer stopping distance in Cooler temps. Asking for trouble to do high speed in colder weather.

In all seriousness, whats the maximum realistic negative consequences?

If you are in an accident where other people are killed/injured or other criminal/civil liability is involved, you can bet your a$$ that the lawyers know how to use Google and can easily find the comment(s).

:iagree:

Everyone does stupid **** from time to time. The key is to make sure there are no videos, pictures or other online evidence to be hung by. There's a certain segment of the population (damn dirty millennials) that seem to think that if it's not posted on social media it never happened. And then they act surprised when their video ends up being retitled "Exhibit A".

The first thing that will be listed on the search warrant will be to collect all electronic devices and media as well any physical evidence. The one thing those that act outside of the law have in common is the need to document their criminal deeds. If they are smart enough to not use electronic hardware they will have a hand written diary! And the last words they get to hear is we the jury find you guilty!

Dude wtf ... I said cold. I didn't say anything about freezing. I'm talking like 10C.

I record all of my crimes. And then turn in my twin brother.
