Limited mods/ high prices

Almost a year down the road, does anyone feel optimistic about the flood gates opening for parts/accessories/mods/etc. I go the TheZStore.com and there are things..but no a lot. All of the performance mods are super expensive, and the top ones are really the only ones worth the effort. I cant remember a car where new things and ideas are still being developed and introduced at such a high rate a year into the life of the car. Is the economy driving production and investment down, is it because maybe the car is still so new, is the computer way to difficult to work with for people to develop products, etc.

Seems like everything decent is a do-it-yourself that all the wonderful people on here have developed.

I think its a combination of the above...The economy being the main factor. Companies that would not have hesitated to jump into product development anticipating 20-30K car sales the first year are re-thinking that, given the Market and Nissan pull-back to just over 10K (in the US). The car is a bit more complex too..

All the basics seem to be covered (intake/exhaust/suspension). it will take a bit longer for the fringe stuff to come to market IMO..

Give it another six months to a year and you will likely see a lot more aftermarket parts. It took a while for aftermarket 350Z parts to come out as well and the selection got better each year the car was in production.

I do agree with Modshack that the economy and the smaller production numbers of the 370Z compared to the first year of the 350Z haven't helped companies want to start making aftermarket parts for the 370Z. Once 20,000 plus cars have been sold in the U.S. things should pick up.

Well it looks like some of the basic are cover, like exhaust, intake, springs and camber kits.

Even that the prices are going to be high.

BTW, someone needs to come out with a decent front lip!
