How can someone hit a car like that and pretend nothing happen and just drive away? At least the damage is not revere.

:iagree:

I think if someone wouldve left bogus info, id be a$$hole hunting right now because i would have definitely tried to find the prick

I didn't even bother pursuing refund for the POS Jetta I rented (and returned early because it sucked that much).

There's a lot to dwell into in terms of the outlook of drivers/driving/automobile ownership. I do think the bar has to be raised some way to qualify for a driver's license. I'd even go as far to issue renewal tests because there are seriously people who can't control >2,000lbs of moving metal roaming the streets on a regular basis. Really, the only people I can *trust* on the road are people in much more expensive cars, faster cars, or 18 wheelers. They know about the abstracts of driving, like have perspective of space and not being an idiot, and apparently don't want their car ****ed up either.

And i thought i had it bad :shakes head: sorry to hear that man.

:iagree: driving is a privilege and its importance is sometimes underrated, unfortunately :ugh2:

Actually that's about what I had quoted as well.

$500 deductible (which like I said, eventually got refunded).

Another $80 out of my pocket got my front bumper repainted (general wear) at discount. The garbo Jetta was like $130. I should've just indulged in something for the weekend if I knew I was going to pay for that.

So a bit of an update, left my car at the shop yesterday and was told it will probably be ready by next wednesday before tksgiving :happydance:

On the flipside, while waiting for my wife to pick me up at the shop, she got into a fender bender and hit the car in front of her, less than a mile away from the shop :shakes head:

Talk about bad luck, but at least shes ok and the damage was minimal. Still, now we got to fix her car once the Z is out of the shop :ugh2:

Wow. Sorry to hear that. Glad she OK.

Sorry that you are in a "when it rains, it pours" time. Hope both repairs are done with minimal issues. Glad the wife was not hurt.
