i had a 54 Ford F-100, i wanted this style soo bad that i went above the old man to grandpa to help me get it
Attachment 7141this is not mine of course, but this is what it looked like |
Mine was a 1973 red 240z with a 2.8 litre engine, koni adjustable shocks all round, 5speed, lightweight simmons mags with falken low profile tiles, progressive rate springs, full exhaust system and cam. The car was completely stripped and sandblasted and resprayed with a nice thick glossy baked enamel. Oh and it did not have a cracked dash. Loved that car and I wished I never sold it. So this is why I have the Zed thing inside me.

2000 v6 Mustang convertable...followed with a 2004 Mustang GT, after a drunk driver totalled it (worst night of my life) I decided it would be best to invest in my education. 5 years later started law school and got myself the Z.

1976 Buick Regal, I bought for $75 while I was in highschool in 92'. Had four flat tires.
Around the same time my dad and I rebuilt a 1964 (I think) volkswagon bug. Fiberglass buggy body kit. Counter weighted the crank, racing cam with high duration/lift lobes, high compression valve springs, ported/polished heads, Italian made dual carburetor, lightened flywheel, no muffler just straight from the manifold to a single stinger exhaust (it was loud and didn't sound like an old Bug), and a few other things I'm probably forgetting That thing hauled *** for a Bug, it was the most fun car I had to drive until I got the Z. |

Here is my first, my 1981 Mazda RX-7 GS…………….Car Bras were popular back then! |
I have owned a lot of nice cars but my first true 2 seat sports car was a 1984 Mazda RX7 GSL-SE. Silver w/red leather and it was a beauty. It was the first with the 13B engine and the SE model had larger wheels & tires, brakes, heavier anti-sway bars, better clutch and limited slip rear end. It was a real bullet. At about 85K miles though, it developed a serious howl in the rear end and I was looking at about $1800 to fix it so I traded it in for a '92 Toyota MR2. That was a fun car too but underpowered. Another 50 horses or the turbo version would have been something else.

I always like the Supras, love the RX-7s and the Zs. My first Z was 1990 300ZX 2+2, then last year finally bought an used 350Z, now I will have a brand spanky new 370Z.
Planning to keep it for a long time! |
first vehicle was a '96 chevy 1500 with a corvette engine in it. My first sports car was a 2001 BULLITT mustang :D I built it to 400hp  until some A HOLE ran a red light at 70mph and totaled it :(

bullit, I'm with you, I'm still a big fan of the 4.6L's

First car I drove: CJ7.

the first car that lead me to want a sports car was a 1996 Saturn SC1.
Why would a saturn SC1 make me want a sports car? It had 1.3 Litre engine. It had i think 110 Horse power or so it claimed. It coudlnt go up a hill more than 45mph on the freeway with just ME in it. It did get like 40mpg+ . Anyways it made me sick to my stomach every time i had to go up a hill and pres down on the pedal and the dam thing didn't move. After that the desire for a real car was created, owned a 350z now a 370z. |
