Is the market for the Zs really soft right now?

I am having a really tough time with mine at the moment. I am listed below others on CL I have a pretty unique option/mileage/shape combo and decent pics.

Not getting much traction. I dicked around some local dealers also and I have been told that the market for the Zs is really soft at the moment. Not sure if that is just Dealer BS talk or just the situation in general.

I think being at close to 50% of MSRP after 6500 miles would win some ppl over but nope.

Let me know your thoughts guys...

I know east coast isn't exactly booming for sports car sales going into Winter.

Its dealer bs talk. I would list it on ebay.

It's where the outside temp tends to fall below 32-deg.f. for extended periods of time, and small white flakes fall from the sky. But never mind about that now. Two things that may be influencing a buyers decision about your car is the bold blue color (which I happen to personally kind of like), and the auto trans, which I don't. Sports car buyers traditionally like std. transmissions....ok, so I'm old. But the price is in the ballpark for the year. I also have a '12 Z, Touring and Sports packages and I paid $26K last year off the dealers lot with 10.7k on the odometer. Maybe could've talked them down another $1k if I had played harder to get. I had the impression it had been on the lot for a little while...

You can get 2016s with sport/touring/tech for $27 -28k with under 10k miles. Personally I'd pay 2-3k more for a 4 year newer car.

FWIW, I was offered $22.5 and $23.5 respectively at a Honda Dealer and a Buick/GMC dealer in our area a couple months ago for a trade-in. My Z is a 2014 PW automatic base with 5K miles. Decided to pass on both offers only because we decided to not trade at the time.

Both offers were on the high side of the KBB trade-in estimate via their website.

I paid $29K new in early 2014. I really didn't think the offers were all that bad.

Have you tried CarMax? Would the offer have been better as a 6MT?

I'd like to see a link to one. I have not seen a single 2016 under 30k that has the same options.

Your offers are 3-4K higher than what I'm getting ... and you have a lower spec car ... interesting
