sprint booster

I try not to get above 3k until the thermo moves. Sometimes it does in first since it feels more rev happy after the tune.

Thermo warm I'll go up to 4.5 and once oil temp starts showing I will haul arse.

Now my tires are another story :/

Yup,driver mod needed .It would be upsetting if a Maxima is faster than a 370z.

My friend has one. Its punchy for a sedan, no doubt. Its not gonna win any stoplight races against a 370 though.

an Ecutek tune will solve your throttle lag issues

Nithmo 10-03-2016 01:24 PM

He doesn't need anything to be faster.

As pointed out, he makes more power stock and his car weighs less.

OP, check out the dyno curves for a stock 370z. The VVEL, aka Nissan VTEC, allows the engine to make power all the way to redline. The transmission in the Maxima may allow for a bit more power to be put down, lower in the rpm range (the car is not meant to be a screaming red line banshee like the Z).

At 4500rpm, shiiiiiiet, you still have 3000rpm to go. Our engine doesn't taper out, in terms of horsepower. The power numbers just grow until redline.
