I believe people are feeling better shifting is because Redline oils are thinner than the stock oil. Stock oil needs more time to warm-up than Redline. But the question is,

I believe people are feeling better shifting is because Redline oils are thinner than the stock oil. Stock oil needs more time to warm-up than Redline.

It should be similar viscosity. The manual recommends a 75W-85. The MT-90 is a 75-90 which is actually a bit thicker but not by much at all. Both the Nissan and Redline MT-90 manual trans fluid are GL-4.
