Default Considering selling my sueprcharged z

Hey guys. Putting this out there to think out loud and would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. I have a 2013 370z - 6 speed - stillen supercharger. I cannot explain how much fun this car is. The z was fun stock and now it's just a motorcycle on 4 wheels. Good sound system, matte black, adjustable coil overs, and tires and wheels. This was my daily driver/road warrior. I'm a realtor so I can't take clients with me but my signs manage to fit. Speed bumps terrify me as well.

The car has some aspiration issues, may just be a tune, and like any modded vehicle, little things go wrong here and there. I'm not a mechanic by any means so the car costs me a more than I wanted to maintain it. I'm considering a sedan that comes in stick and still has some power under 30k. Only things I can think of are evo and wrx. I don't want to get a G37 because it's the same car. Test drove a wrx and was sorely disappointed. Nothing feels fast anymore.

I'm wondering what other cars you guys are driving. What did you guys upgrade/downgrade to when moving on from the Z? If anyone else has modded their car, do you regret it? Was the maintenance a pain in the butt? Finally, if anyone is looking for a supercharged Z let me know and we can negotiate price maybe? I'm still doing research and trying to make up my mind. Thank you guys for always being supportive

focus rs? If that still doesn't do it for you, you might have to wonder around in used beamer land to stay under 30k. For what you do, I would be looking at an m2 though.

Ok Kat, best advice I can give you is to take your time in the decision!! As most know that I sold my 11 Nismo for one of the new Maxima SR. One of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. Even though I now have a 16 Nismo, I still kick myself in the head. So make sure you give it a lot of thought.

Except for the fact that many have had the top compression ring land failure occur on the piston(s). You takes your chance with that one. Not to mention the low rent plastic interior... but I digress ....

If you are going to get another car for the sole purpose of transporting clients, do you really want a ricer sports car? Dont get me wrong or meant disrespect but if a realtor pulls up in an evo or STI to drive me around with a loud exhaust and a bumpy harsh ride, that would lose credit with me really fast.
I rather just have them meet me or follow me in the Z to the showing. Either that or get a Benz c250 for the name badge at least. Just my .02

You get what you pay for. At the price point of the STi, you get a nice AWD drivetrain and a turbo engine. There isn't much room left for a fantastic interior. And it is still way nicer than an Evo.

This. It's a rally car FFS. If you're going to use it for the intended purpose most of that interior gets torn out and thrown away anyway.

Nobody buys a Subaru because of the luxurious interior.

Legacy owners might argue that point. But the main thrust of my point was the ring land problem, usually requiring a new engine if it breaks. And occurring in models through the 2015 model year. Look it up, Google or YouTube. Who would knowingly want to buy a car that can grenade its engine even while cruising down the road.... FFS. And who would want to buy an orphan model like the Evo, that got dropped at the end of the 2015 production run?

New STIs ringland isn't as common as it was in the previous gen, also we only hear stories about cars whose rings have went out, I know plenty guys out there who run STIs modded without any issues. However having ringland is something you must consider, I picked up my STI a month back and there is no comparison with the Z. Two different cars, more for your money with the Sti, and suspension is not even a question.

The Sti interior is far more quality than the Z though, so you're definitely wrong on that one.

Agreed with this, but step up to the 335is. The DC transmission makes a big difference int driving enjoyment. Just a warning though, reliability will start to suffer quite a bit as mileage gets high on the turbo BMW's. If you are the type to change cars around once they get up in miles, this may be a good route for you...

Realtor, you need a luxury car.

And nothing will be faster/easier to maintain than your Z... That's the current problem. You need to understand that fact ahead of time... Maybe try a used ISF. But the ride is better on the 11+, I have an 08 and it's terrible, I can count change in the road, and it's not a good car to drive people in necessarily because it's an IS.

TBH, never seen a realtor drive someone around, usually leading... And if I wasn't a car guy, a Z would be a huge turn off. Especially a Nismo, that said, an Evo or STD would be much worse. You need the name to show you're doing well.

And that said, if you don't want to get buried in repairs, don't buy a Nazi car without the most expensive warranty you can afford (remember that if you're not doing your brake jobs yourself, you're going to pay luxury tax as well)
But I think you should buy some sort of Lexus, again, nothing will be as fast as your Z for the price... Except for a Mustang or the big engined 'MURICAN cars
