If the car was stock it would sell for (ballpark) 26k. I find it hard to believe on a 2013 with under 16k miles I could at best get another 4k for having 10-15k of additional equipment. And I was careful not to rice it out. IMO other than the supercharger and coilovers it was basic upgrades

I forgot to mention I want to have another stick shift. If I had the money I would for sure lease a C class. I can't afford two cars right now. I have a motorcycle for my second car

Thank you guys again for humoring my anxiety. I appreciate all the feedback

Aftermarket forced induction will send the vast majority of potential buyers running for the hills. Most people will assume it's been beat within an inch of its life. People always have trouble selling highly modded cars for the SAME value as a stock one, much less for a premium. When you bolt a turbo/sc on a car, you pretty much have to accept you've tanked the resale value. If you want to get near the sale price of a stock car, part it out. With the SC on there you're going to take a hit.

Would YOU buy a used sports car that's been modified to produce an extra 50% of the factory rated power? Most people don't want to take on someone else's project.

I was watching car matchmaker and he had to find a car for a real state client. his choices were a Mercedes 250, Lexus 350, and maybe it was an Audi.

Really? Is common sense that far gone now?

You are driving a potential individual client in your z? And its boosted. Jesus.

And you are on some good crack thinking you can get anything near stock price after you dumped money with FI.

Come on buddy you can do better than that.

Your clients want something that can get them from point a to b in the safest most comfortable ride possible. Instead of trying to appease your immature ideals why not focus on what the client needs

Ask yourself this one question. Are you a great salesman ?

Apparently my common sense goes about as far as your manners. In the future, read the thread before posting in it. If you have nothing productive to contribute then you probably shouldn't comment.

The last paragraph should have summed it up.

I need to inflate my epeen by ragging on your less than stellar decision making process.

Seriously get an is350 or c400 or something of the sort and be done with it.

You get what you pay for. At the price point of the STi, you get a nice AWD drivetrain and a turbo engine. There isn't much room left for a fantastic interior. And it is still way nicer than an Evo.

This. It's a rally car FFS. If you're going to use it for the intended purpose most of that interior gets torn out and thrown away anyway.

Nobody buys a Subaru because of the luxurious interior.

Legacy owners might argue that point. But the main thrust of my point was the ring land problem, usually requiring a new engine if it breaks. And occurring in models through the 2015 model year. Look it up, Google or YouTube. Who would knowingly want to buy a car that can grenade its engine even while cruising down the road.... FFS. And who would want to buy an orphan model like the Evo, that got dropped at the end of the 2015 production run?

New STIs ringland isn't as common as it was in the previous gen, also we only hear stories about cars whose rings have went out, I know plenty guys out there who run STIs modded without any issues. However having ringland is something you must consider, I picked up my STI a month back and there is no comparison with the Z. Two different cars, more for your money with the Sti, and suspension is not even a question.

The Sti interior is far more quality than the Z though, so you're definitely wrong on that one.

I kind of agree. Not a BMW guy myself but for what OP is looking for out of a car a good, used M5 would be solid performance wise. Although considering OP is worried about upkeep costs... BMW.... Meh.
