What is this wire in the back of my Z for?

This pic is not mine but I recently had to use my spare tire and when I noticed this in the back zip tied up wondered where it belonged any ideas ?

US spec non-functioning harness. You can check for power but I am certain there is no power to it. You need a stalk and a non US spec butt led to make it oem. Many of us just tap from the break light and use aftermarket led lamp.

It's to get all of us that installed a rear fog light excited that it's simply plug and play and then disappoint us that it actually does nothing.
