Starting search. I am in the market for a

370Z. Here is my question: I travel with work, and to carry all my junk I use a 14 X 20 X 28 (7,840 cu. in) suitcase. Will this big *** suitcase fit in the 370Z with the hatch closed all the way?

Thanks all!

See the pic in my profile (avatar)

Thanks all!

The "trunk" is a lot larger than it seems from the outside. I think that bag would fit just fine.

You can even hang it over the stabilizer bar and up against the seats if you needed to fit a little more in the back...at the expense of visibility of course.

Why don't you bring the case to a dealer and try? :icon14:

No reason to be. The worst you'll have to fear is the salesman going after your wallet after the case fits in the trunk. I'm assuming you don't own the car yet after reading your OP.

How come you don't drive the Camry for work? Salesman? The Z is an image-builder for a salesman for sure

carlos3366 11-22-2009 10:24 AM

Thanks all for your input. Camry is my daily driver, its so lame "its gotta go". The benz is my wife's car. I am not a salesman but when I travel I have to take the suite case (worst case scenario) and leave the car at the airport. I only travel 1 week every two months or so. The 370Z will be my daily driver. I don't have a Z yet, I used to have a '91 Z.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the available trunk space in the Z.

Yeah, disregard my post. I got mixed up between threads! LOL!

Anyways, I just measured my trunk area. Are you sure your measurements are right? 14H, 20L, 28W?

It would fit at with 10x20x28 or 14x20x24. I've never seen any case that would be 14" thick.

That's assuming you can;t "squish" it a little. It'll fit fine if it squishes down. But the L/W are fine, as there is a 21.5" gap or so in between the popups from the rear fender wells or whatever is back there.

That was a lot easier than what I just did! +1

Leave the car at the airport? eek! door dings are gonna kill you, man.<shudder></shudder>

I hear you man, gotta do it thought. Paying bills is more important the scratches on the Z.

Not necessarily. I travel quite a bit and park at my airport's daily garage. It's a little more than the Fast Park or Park and Go lots (but almost even if you add in tipping the private lot drivers), but I'd rather pay a little more for a covered and patrolled garage. Anyway, it's 9 levels, and I typically park on one of the higher levels where open spaces are a plenty. I've never had a problem and I think most airports have these type of facilities. Most people park on the lower levels because as a general rule people are generally very lazy.
