When I bought my VW a couple of weeks ago, that dealer was soooo sleazy.

I just pardoned dem thinking a lot of their customers must be dumb faks also. Makes everything go smoother. I pay cash so less chances of getting screwed afterwards I guess.

Dealing With New Car Sales

It takes a lot of experience, which means lots of cars &a lots of years, to get a feel for it. First! Always tell em you only have a few minutes and only stopped by to look. Be polite, but be FIRM. Leave if they start giving you the run around and aren't being straight with you. Actually, "some?" Dealerships are reputable.

huh?

I've bought over 25 new cars for myself and I'm too lazy to play games. I check dealer inventory first den stop by for a test drive and sit down to talk price. I tell dem upfront I won't force dem to lower price, dis is my budget for the car and I will pay cash.

It's a rather quick process for me and I get a decent deal.

Isamu 08-19-2016 08:45 AM

why the **** are we talking about buying cars, please take that conversation else where. this is about dealership service departments who set cars on fire.

It looks like now Nissan may realize that Brake Line Fluid Leaks actually can cause fires if driven or even left on idling. Dated 9/9/2016

Isamu 09-11-2016 07:31 PM

dealership claims Nissan said they did nothing wrong.. I asked for a copy of the report and the owners daughter told me, "he told me we did nothing wrong face to face."

Im sorry, no way they would not see the negligence in the situation.. smh

Car is making ~530-540whp, video was posted on fb today, was a little low due to heat soak. Also, she is running on 91oct. going to switch to FlexFuel and ECUTEK most likely.

Dealership is still being a shithead. Owners daughter is married to service manager. She claims Nissan's rep told her there was no way they were at fault. however that is not in the official report.

Did not read through the entire thread. However when I was denied a claim on my last car being a modified Camaro I went to Chevy customer service and had an incident opened. This then forced interaction with a Chevy rep, not a dealers daughter married to a service manager.

gbrettin 10-18-2016 12:11 PM

I had a similar experience minus the car burning situation... Hopefully the deal makes it right by their choice or court appointed choice.

sadly the dealership is worthless as far as integrity goes. It's a bunch of horseshit. :shakes head:

Have you reached a final settlement with either the dealership or your insurance company and, if so, what was it? (Those of us who have some time and keystrokes invested in your cause would like to get a little "return".;))

BehindSpace 10-19-2016 05:36 PM

if your car burns down its not the dealers fault its nissans but thats what insurance is for! call your insurance company and do a claim!!!

Rusty 10-19-2016 05:45 PM

Everytime time I read this thread. This is what pops to mind. :rofl2:

My insurance is going after the dealership. The owners daughter(Head manager/wife of service manager) basically told me to get bent. She got frustrated when I laid it out in basic English for her that she was wrong... like she knew I was right, but wasn't going to do anything about it because she doesn't have to. I'd love to have a better outcome for everyone.. Once the insurance cleans up, im going to go after the dealership my self in small claims..

did you even read the thread? it's not Nissan's fault, it is in fact the dealerships fault. FoH with your non-reading ***.. :bowrofl:

Go get'um. They will not learn unless you teach them via the pocket book. Once the insurance lawyers get ahold of them they will be wishing they did the right thing.

Long before I even got my Z back when I was still researching the Z as a viable car candidate, I went to this dealerships facebook page and blasted them also. I wasn't even a member here and decided to contribute due to this horror story. Hope it gets resolved brosef.

While I appreciate the update and I'm glad to hear things are going your way, I urge you not to post more until the gavel comes down. No good can come of letting the dealership know that something is afoot (forewarned is forearmed). YMMV and good luck.
