It will really suc if we start seeing them every other block. I hope ppl consider them impractical

StLRedrider 11-21-2009 07:02 PM

i wonder what the deal is here? not too many out there around here!!!

m4a1mustang 11-21-2009 07:37 PM

Give it time, guys. Pretty soon the 370s are going to be just as common as the 350s and you won't be able to go a day without seeing one. These are very accessible cars.

The only thing going for our "rarity" right now is a first model year and sluggish economy.

LOL, seriously... I have seen ONE since they came out, and that includes trips to/from University of Maryland and NY. Only one I saw was 3 weeks ago on Staten Island. I'm gunna hate seeing them all the time if it ever comes to that.

m4a1mustang 11-21-2009 08:49 PM

Oh it will! There was a time when the 350 was rare!

^^^ wat he said.

eventually i might mod my car just to make it different from the others.
just the usual: coilovers, wheels, and maybe a small front lip.

Here in dfw, over the past month, I seen around 24-25 370z's monterrey blue and black followed by silver grey then yellow have been the popular colors. For some reason I never seen the yellow w/ sport pkg. White.and red are the rarest. I haven't seen either on the road.
One thing I noticed. Most dealerships have used ones on the lots. Seems like alota guys bit off more than they can chew buyin the Z? I can't imagine not likin it? Lol.

phelan 11-21-2009 11:08 PM

I still think I have one of maybe only two or three red Zs in SoCal...lol

You're probably right, especially in this economy. Impulse buy followed by a feeling of job-insecurity might lead to correcting a personal finance error and getting rid of the car.

How many of the "24-25" Zs you saw in the past month were the same Z?

didymus 11-22-2009 11:09 AM

In Miami ive seen 4. Someone in the building next to mine has a PG. Cruised with a White one on 95 for a bit. Saw a yellow one parked at the target across the road one day and then one at the last SFZC meet i went too. Oh make that 5 saw a red one when they first came out at the porn convention

Brazilbro 11-22-2009 03:19 PM

I've only seen 3 in the 9 months I've owned mine. 1 black base 1 PG touring/sport 1 pg sport. All stock

bullitt5897 11-22-2009 04:13 PM

I know most of the 370z owners in the local area and I can count them on one hand lol and they are all on here except for this copy cat white one that showed up after I got mine... I drive a certain road all the time and after having my car for a few months I saw a new stock white one and I was like MOTHER F%CKER! He is copying me that SON OF A B!TCH! LMAO Then Xiven messaged me on here asking if I was the Z he saw with the crazy LED headlights in our apartment complex and I was like yea! Long story short... I got him into his 370z :D LOL lets just say I showed him what a 370z could do in stock form! muahahaha

drmike 11-22-2009 05:13 PM

Here on the edge of the Mojave desert I've seen a total of ONE 370Z, a red 6-speed. Turns out it was just passing through, of course.

370Zsteve 11-22-2009 05:20 PM

Northern VA = 1,343 Zs

rest of USA = 14 Zs

Seen only 2 others on road in Broward County FL, both last week. One PW and one PG. And technically, I guess I see mine out the side mirror, so make that 3. :driving: See 350s once a day - not enough to get boring...

See way more G35s and G37s.

farmosh203 11-22-2009 06:35 PM

I have only seen one 370Z in Arizona. I'd say they are pretty rare.

CrownR426 11-22-2009 06:49 PM

People around my area know it's me when they see a black 370z.
But yesterday my friend told me he saw someone else driving one but I think it's a person I met at my first meet. lol... Still rare around this part of town.

Gaiiden 11-22-2009 10:05 PM

I've seen 3 370Zs on the road and 2 GTRs. Obviously seen much more at shows so I know they are out there, but the rarity in which I happen to pass by one on the road is still very high. I just drove to/from Montreal for business and didn't see a single one. I'm not out driving much during the daytime though, so that is also a factor that needs to be considered. I take great enjoyment driving past my local Nissan dealer at least 3 times a week to go to the gym and note that the same 3 370Zs are still sitting in the lot :P

Yup, enjoying it while it lasts!

zilent_jay 11-22-2009 10:43 PM

When I first got my 350.... I worked at a place and one of the older sales guys got jealous.... aside from the business owners jags, the 350 was by far the nicest car there... so this D-bag went and bought one... automatic.... same color (silver). The first time I saw it I thought someone moved my car, lol. The next time he saw me he made sure to come over and rub it in and how it's just a toy... he was acting like a total **** about it. I'm like... uhhh... good for you buddy.... don't care... good luck with the mid-life crisis.

fast forward 5 years... my new place of employment.... I had my 370 a few months before someone else got one. Silver.... automatic... non sport (notice a trend here). The guy also has a handicap sticker and gets to park up front. My gf said he wears a nissan cap and used to have an older Z... so that's cool at least.

I've only seen a few others in OKC. There are probably 10 or so 350's where I work... I remember when I started there, there were only 2 or 3. Nobody really has any go-fast mods and my 350 was definitely the quickest of them all (even the HR's).

I don't mind the commonality like most of you dread. I never bought either Z for the attention... and don't really care for it. I like seeing other Z's out there. It's funny because most of the people you see on the street in a Z.... are like you guys. They look pissed like you're stealing their thunder. ha ha....

That's what pisses me off. Lots of the ones I have seen driven by men act like hardass d-bags.

370Zsteve 11-23-2009 06:59 AM

What about the stuck-up chick I saw on my only test drive in Sept....still the only other 370Z I've seen on the road....she looked over at me at a stoplight, then when I politely gave a little hey, another 370Z wave, she gave me a pert hair-flip (no acknowledgment) and sped off. :ugh2:

A pert hair flip? You sure it wasn't a 'come hither' gesture?

Steve - where do you live? I'm in the Southington CT area... never seen your car around!

:iagree:

I bought the Z for me and I don't really care if I see none or 100.

kannibul 11-23-2009 11:40 AM

Recently, I've seen only 1. I've not seen the blue one that was roaming my neighborhood...where every time I saw it, I thought, yep, I'll have one...

The one I keep seeing is black like mine. Haven't gotten enough of a look at it yet to tell "which" 370z it is. I know it's not NIZMO.

vash_241987 11-23-2009 12:44 PM

I've seen 2, yellow and PG. Local nissan had two blk ones a month ago. I think they have become garage queens since I don't see them anymore. I've seen more GTR on the road than 370z:icon18:

elmz 11-23-2009 01:38 PM

I've only seen 1 on the road here in San Diego. I know there are a few more on this forum but I haven't seen them. It is nice driving a rare car at the moment.

Azroadster 11-23-2009 01:55 PM

I have seen a couple here in AZ. Two of my friends in Phoenix also own 370's, one black and one red. I'm up in Prescott and for quite a while my yellow was the only one around. I have seen a red one a few times lately so I may not be alone any more. I have yet to see another yellow 370 on the road in Phoenix, up here where I live, or anywhere else that I have travelled since I purchased. I absolutely LOVE having a rare car, especially one of the rarest 370's - Chicane Yellow.:happydance:

Jacksonville, Florida.. between this town and St. Augustine, Florida.. seen about 5. SINCE APRIL no less. back when I bought mine. It's nice and fun to STILL be turning heads driving my Z around. I'm always in my daily driver when I see other 370s..

Spotting 350s around here is still sort of rare.. maybe once a day. And I see G35/G37s quite frequently .. easily 2+ a day.
