adding sync rev to a base car

i read somewhere that the all the gearboxes have the sensors installed... so would it be a case of installing the button and some ecu upgrades to get it? thanks

At this point in time, it is absolutely not possible to add this feature to a base model 370z.

You'll need gear position sensors as well. IMO, it might cost you more than simply getting the Sport model.

If it was that simple, people would be installing them in all of their MT cars. So far, I haven't heard of a single other manufacturer with this feature.

Does the non-sport manual tranny tell you which gear you're in?

thats wrong, because you would have to change the entire front odometer cluster, the sync rev has sensors on the transmission itself, i had called about upgrades, and for the sport sync , it would be better off buying a brand new tranny, just for the sync upgrade would take weeks not to mention 5 gran +. so in the end its really not worth it.

dont forget about the ecu and tps's and all the other electronics, relays, fuses, wiring, etc involved. its FAR to complicated to even try.

I have been doing heel-toe for decades with auto-transmission-like feel on many cars.

On the Z, after 8000 miles, grrrrrrr! Frustrating!

Why didn't you just get the sports package, instead of going through crap like this?
Most people get sports package cause of the other goodies. Beggers can't be chosers
