I got kneed in the head while going for a poke check, by a player cutting across the crease full speed about 5 month ago. It hurt like a bitch for about a month. It slowly got better, but even now, not very often, I can sometimes feel some discomfort.

Was wondering what was wrong with you. Thought that you was just plain crazy. :icon14:

When you take a good head shot. The effects can last a long time, and you not know it.

I had no idea what this was when I read it (have kind of figured it out now), but my immediate mental image was of Gus' use of "poke" in "Lonesome Dove," and thought "Holy crap!"

No, you were right to begin with.

But I probably have taken too many pucks to the head over the years. Good think I have a pro mask.

Sorry, that one went over my head for a change.

Oops. Gus (Robert Duvall) in Lonesome Dove kept pestering a prostitute for a "poke" or a "free poke" throughout the series. Hence, getting kneed in the head during a poke check put a strange, but humorous, visual image in my head.

[Just a quick glimpse of the bizarre stuff that goes on inside my head sometimes :wtf2:]

Yeap, I am waiting on the offer. The next one is already in the works. Just need to tell them to start the paperwork if it doesn't get sold before I get back with them. I am paying to have it shipped to my door.

Well, the insurance battle begins. They gave me a ridiculous offer. They based the value of my car by one 2012 Nismo 370z, One Touring 370z, and one Base model 370z. I am not making this up. I told them they were out of their mind in a few words and try try again.

I may not have a car for a while until they come to the negotiating table. Until that time, it will start collecting a 45 dollar a day indoor storage fee. F'm.

Well, the new 2013 370z Nismo in MB with 7,800 miles is on the way in a week or so. I just went and got all my parts off today except for the CJ Motorsports baffled oil pan. They will just have to pay me for that. I shall order another from phunk in due time. I only had one issue. Coming home my floor jack handle ovaled my Setrab oil cooler. How it got past all the junk in front of it is beyond me.

Oh, the car is being shipped to me in an enclosed trailer. It was too cheap to pass up. Beats going to get it. 600 miles one way would suck.

That is the plan. All my parts may not be on the car but oh well.
