Exhaust

I'm in search of a upgrade on a exhaust, there is just so many for the 370z's. I'm looking for something loud, deep, and very exotic.

Meisterschaft GT. Loud, exotic, expensive.

Zoom370z 02-17-2016 09:50 PM

How much roughly? I already bought berks hfc non resonated

Fast intentions non resonated stainless steel

Zoom370z 02-18-2016 12:37 AM

Fast intentions, 18" resonators so it doesn't have that "tinny" sound and the carbon fiber exhaust cans. She growls deep at low RPM and screams like an F1 car in the upper range.
Here is a video I did a while back with the set up described above along with the Fast Intentions long tube headers. (F*** you EPA)

Armytrix, adjustable loudness/sound, expensive, and rare.

Bshields22 02-18-2016 01:59 PM

i was in your place last year... listen to countless exhaust systems, watch every youtube video on youtube i think lol...twice.

I chose Fast Intentions Cat-Back Exhaust with 18" resonators. Best sound, best price, best quality and best gains. IMO

A 3 month waiting list for Fast Intentions Exhaust says something. I looked under my car the other day for the first time since i bought it and the welding and craftsmanship is 2nd to non.

FPenvy 02-18-2016 02:02 PM

dont waste your money on armytrix nor meisterschaft. both ridiculously over proced.

go with the smart choice and get Fast Intentions.

if you want loud/exotic go non-res test pipes/non-res CBE/carbon fiber mufflers
if you want loud /deep go long tube header/non-res cbe/stainless steel mufflers
if you want loud/deep/exotic LTH/non-res CBE/CF mufflers.

Pearl zed 02-18-2016 02:10 PM

Carbon fiber for lightness or do they sound different from stainless? Or both?

TexasChuck 02-18-2016 02:11 PM

Exhausts

Here we go again!

both. they are lighter since they are actually full CF shells not just some laminated piece over top a SS can.

the sounds are different as well. CF has a higher more exotic sound to where the SS has a deeper throatier sound to it.

Pearl zed 02-18-2016 02:20 PM

Got it. Thanks

Hmmm I have so far for exhaust is berks hfc's, I was thinking fast intentions or aam. Has anyone heard both of them side by side ? I'm trying to compare some videos but I know the sound is different in video compared to in person.

personally i think FI sounds better and has better performance.

Dirk McGurck 02-18-2016 07:31 PM

Fair warning: my FI droned like a mother at 2k-3k. Now with my resonated test pipes it drones a little louder. Dunno if that matters to you.

Non resonated? Besides the testpipes

Dirk McGurck 02-19-2016 05:49 PM

Nope, 18" resonators. Droned before the test pipes. Everyone tells me it shouldn't but it does. Maybe it's because I have the first version?

True. But when you're trying to save gas...

Breadz 02-19-2016 10:20 PM

Non res carbon fast intentions, 18 inch if you need it to be quieter

callmebatman 02-20-2016 12:56 AM

That's brings up a good point... I'll be commuting 80 miles a day shortly... The last thing I want is a exhaust to have a overly loud drone or to drain my mpg

Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

FPenvy 02-20-2016 05:32 PM

I still don't understand people who buy a semi expensive sports car but bitch about gas

callmebatman 02-20-2016 06:22 PM

I'm not complaining about gas..... I have never owned a car that didn't take premium. And being from the bay area where has is probably higher then most. I was merely questioning whether there is a difference in mpg regardless or the car having a stock exhaust, resonated, or nonresonated

Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

FPenvy 02-20-2016 10:13 PM

The mpg only goes down because you want to get into the throttle more.

The fuel mapping doesn't change just for an exhaust mod or not enough to really change anything enough to notice

If that's the case, nonresonated with cf mufflers will be on my wish list

I average 18.9 mpg (what the car says. Never reset it just for a work commute itself) and my daily commute is 25-30 miles no highways. Also I'm not easy on the throttle either lol

MB370Z 02-21-2016 01:25 PM

I recommend this exhaust

ped 02-22-2016 03:15 PM

Unless you're a 20 year old dying for attention get the HKS Hi-Power catback. That's the exhaust the Z should come with stock.

It's because they don't know the definition of 'drone'.

OMG I agree....

They have the shell of a Z owner but the heart of a Prius owner.

To those who worry about gas .... :gtfo2: lol

The only thing I factored into buying a Z when it came to gas was how much more I was going to be spending, but it was never a thought to not get the Z. Now gas is $3 cheaper than I imagined it'd be and I couldn't be happier.

Had I worried about gas mileage and gotten something else, I'd hate myself for not having bought the car I wanted.

Opinions differ, but I've had BOTH HKS and FI and prefer HKS, so take that for what it's worth.

I heard a YouTube video, it's a 370z with berks hfc's-fi exhaust and motordyne m370?

Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

That's sounded good ! But I went on motordyne but I don't see m370? What part of exhaust is that ?

I'm trying to limit filling up my car to once a week, so every action on the highway matters.
